Then Kinnear fucked up (well, did about as well as anyone thought he would do), and was sacked shortly afterwards. In the present day, it's hard to imagine Ashley not being involved in individual deals. Back then, for that period, it was different. Yes. Football needs fans; just see what impact a few empty stadiums has. Sadly I doubt our sorry mob will ever see it but some might in the future, when we're back to normal and dueling with malevolent owners/ticket prices as opposed to pandemics. The coronavirus pandemic is likely wrecking the economy for the foreseeable future. His own stock price will take 2 years or so to return back to previous levels; he has had numerous chances to get £300m+ in liquid cash that he could have saved away but instead he’s Done brilliantly to be just a greedy idiot.
