Interesting to see what this cup fiend does on Sunday, like.

He's played the same eleven - presumably he thinks his best one - twice in four days. He either goes for three in eight when certain players are clearly knackered or shows how seriously he's taking it by changing things.

No matter what he does he's going to get pelters for it regardless.

That's his job though isn't it? He's in a position to sort of work this out - if it goes well then happy days, if he fucks it up then it's down to him. No-one's got a pistol to his head.

Whatever team he picks, he's going to get stick for it. That's my point. He'll be gone at the end of the season. He's not worth getting worked up over.

His subs are completely baffling..

That's the main thing I think he got right. Right players at the right time and it created a goal.

He does need to mix it up a little for City though or it'll implode

The Gayle sub was due to an injury to Ritchie, mind. Think we'll revert to the 5-2-3/5-4-1 against Man City like we did when we got the draw in November. Don't think we'll get hammered but it won't be a pretty watch.

Wasnt on about you specifically. It was a broader statement at those who piss and moan about everything he does or doesn't do.

Is he our worst manager in the PL % wise?

He's gone at the end of the season. There's only a few weeks left of it. He's not worth the energy man.

I don't understand all the anger. We are safe. We are on 39 points with 7 games to. Only lost 3 games in 16 home games. We lost 10 at home last season. Does that make Bruce a better manager than Rafa? Of course not. Rafa clearly the big man. Does it mean Bruce has done alright this season. Yes.

Chill. Takeover and new manager and a shot at the FA Cup. We are a solid position. We all know how it important it was that we stayed up this season FFS. We all know it was vital.

Every shite performance/result makes it easier to bin him off at the most appropriate time; i.e. the end of the season. A point further from the relegation zone and Bruce showing himself up again; that's perfect.

That is, of course, if it were actually the case, which I wouldn't personally know. I didn't see the game tonight, thankfully.

To try and spin it otherwise is just ridiculous. He's fucking shocking and has been for nearly quarter of a century, he's not suddenly become good since July. End of conversation.

Exactly. There's absolutely fuck all to get worked up over. The Villa thread tonight was fucking littered with comments complaining that he's kept the same side that beat Sheff Utd. Bruce is a useless cunt but no matter what he does or doesn't do, this place seems to be flooded with posters complaining about whatever decision he has or hasn't made. Someone was even twisting about our "xG" stat this season not being good enough this season under Bruce last week for fucks sake.

Like most seasons under Ashley, this one is ebbing away into nothing. We've got a few weeks left of the season, a shot at a cup and new owners on the horizon and probably a new manager to boot.

Just let it run its course. He'll be history soon and he's not worth getting worked up over.

Bruce will get found out in time, it’s ridiculous having a go at him at the moment. We’re somehow safe with 7 games to go and with a non existent forward line. He gets my back up with his faux Geordie banter, he forgot his roots and I’m not sure he ever felt like a Geordie.

Saying he’s the worst PL manager is simplifying to a unarguable degree when you consider who he has managed in the PL, I’ve not looked but I reckon Phil Brown, Neil Warnock or that West Country idiot we’re worse than him, as for Kinnear, Carver and McLaren.....

Let’s stop judging him through Rafa tinted glasses. His time will come and it will be soon, fingers crossed, but, he’s done a better job than expected with what has to be a worse squad.

Seemed like a perfectly legitimate question about how he's going to manage the squad with 3 games in 8 days. You could have just given your reasoning as to how he might be thinking by playing the same team today. Instead you are having a go at people getting worked up over it. Seems like you are getting more worked up than most tbh.

Shite owner appoints shite manager.

The team is safe with a handful of games left with a Qtr final left to play.

A few weeks left of the season with new owners coming in anytime soon and they'll bring their own manager with them.

Whatever team Bruce picks or whatever subs he does or doesn't pick it doesn't really matter. We're not going down and we're not getting into Europe. He'll be gone when the new owners are in so there's absolutely nothing to get wound up over in the next few weeks. This season will ebb away like a lot of them have under Ashley.

Bruce will go elsewhere and that will be that.
