How does he not realise that he’d be getting hammered if fans were allowed in and would have probably been binned now! The press wouldn’t be able to trot out the “he’s doing a great job” shite if fans were hammering him either!

The guy is a walking talking cliché. Stan Collymore's the only pundit I've seen call him out on it. Everything he ever says it just filled with antiquated clichés.

He's been spouting the same nonsense for 20+ years, and playing the same grenade football for just as long. Bloke's been senile to every aspect of top level coaching and management for years now.

Meaningless, disingenuous wet, same as always.

Hold up, when we were allowed in we kept being told we put pressure on the players if we haven't scored after two minutes, or aren't attacking like Brazil in the 70's.

But at the same time the vast majority took exception to the protests against Pardew. Paully is dreaming if he thinks those same fans would be on Bruce's back, or that Ashley would listen even if they were. He'd just laugh his tits off and hand him an 8 year contract.

Well done Steve. Your 77 min super sub has eventually paid dividends. We came away with a classy 2-1 defeat there. He was right, it can’t be changed overnight, that sub was a year and a half in the making. Keep patient and the good times are coming back.

Just feel more like a neutral football fan these days. I get no enjoyment watching Newcastle any more. Never have been so nonplussed to us scoring late in the game as today. Years before there would be a genuine belief that we could put pressure on and push on for an equaliser.

Only watched last half hour of Brighton Wolves last night, but got more enjoyment watching that than any Newcastle game in recent memory. Now with Chelsea City, theres a thought of 'this could be good/entertaining' whereas watching Newcastle these days just sucks the life out of you

Agree with that.

I actually find Burnley a more entertaining watch these days.

Aye, their football is direct and not easy on the eye, but there is something genuine about them. Granted they are direct, and Barnes is a shithouse, but there's no shame in that with being effective in doing what Dyche sets them out to do. They all work hard, and can still keep the ball and move it better than us.

At least Dyche is getting them to perform as more than the sum of their parts.
