Joelinton: will not play against Everton (Howe)

Also bear in mind prior form

On 1 September 2008, Gonzales joined Newcastle United on loan until the end of the season. This move was the final straw for the latter's manager Kevin Keegan, who claimed he was forced to sign the player by executive director Dennis Wise after only seeing him play on YouTube, and believing the former was not good enough for the team

A Premier League tribunal confirmed in October that the loan signing had been against manager Keegan's wishes, and was in breach of his contract, resulting in a compensation payout to the manager. The deal was reportedly done by Wise and Mike Ashley as a "favour" for two South American agents.

19 games without a goal is shocking. Needs dropping, loaned out or sold. Take the hit, move on. Whatever talent he has it won't come out in this environment, not after that shite start, there's no way back for him. Feel sorry for him but Ashley must be gutted, so not all bad.

Nobody will thrive in this environment. It's all just rats in a maze. And any who are smart enough to work this out are instantly sold for profit.

maybe he was bought to get the fans in, Asda do the same with their fuel sell it cheap but gets the punters to shop in their shops, called a loss leader or something along those lines.

ASDA don’t actually lose money on fuel, they are just quick to pass on the reduction in price of fuel to customers. Yes it’s done to get people into ASDA stores, but they don’t lose money on it, they just don’t profit as much as other petrol stations.

He's become the scapegoat in a devastatingly ugly and ineffective team. Good luck to him climbing out of that hole.

Almiron has managed to climb out of a similar predicament from earlier this year. It wasn't long ago people had started on him, claiming he was shite because he never scored or assisted.

Maybe a goal gets this guy excited to play again. It's going to be very tough for him though.

Hes doing the same thing with Joelinton now. He has to play through the pain barrier against Wolves and is asking to play again. He has played every match since Christmas surely he needs a rest as does Fernandez and maybe Dubravka. You can't complain about the tough schedule then do nothing to work around it.

That quote is horrific. The club employs medical professionals to determine whether a player is fit or not, but old Brewcie leaves it up to the player and then publicly applies pressure with “I hope he declares himself fit”.

No doubt the utter skid mark said to the likes of Gayle and Dummett “You right to play lads?” and they’re all eager and say “Yes boss“, allowing the dumb fat cunt to say after the game “Oh, but they said they were fit, not my fault they injured themselves again.”

Ironically Joelinton has probably played more games than anyone else this season, despite his obvious need to be taken out of the firing line, both for his own sake, and to satisfy the demands of the baying mong element of our support.

How many times have we bought an actual good/clearly talented British player? Shelvey? Maybe Ritchie at a stretch?

I'm sure we could have got Ings away from Southampton for less than £40m in the summer. Come to think of it, we could have got a Match-fit Danny Drinkwater, Jay Rodriguez or maybe even Callum Wilson.

Any one of them would have been really useful this season.
