TRon
JoeLinton has his hair dyed blonde so we can tell he's on the pitch. We have 3 other strikers on the books, how many times have they been on the pitch? Who is to blame for that?
Happinesstan
Joelinton is a barber, he owns a barber's shop He plays football on Saturdays, but he's really not much cop.
Guest chopey
Bruce picks him because he cost £40 million of Mikes money and he needs someone to notice him for resale value
Newcastle Fan
I'm just happy that i've seen him strike a ball with purpose, that's how low my expectations for him are.
jackyboy
Everyone agrees, even Bruce, that he is not an out and out No9 goalscorer. Ikeep hearing that he is better playing wide or deep. The fact is that while he may be better suited to those positions he is still not good enough to operate there. Probably a decent back up or squad player but £40 million? He’s an £18-22m player at the Almiron/ASM level of taking a risk and him being either good or shit imo. To pay £40m then give him the number 9 shirt and play him out of position was ridiculous. STM
Had he come off the bench for 15 minutes in all of the games where he has started, he would have scored more goals. He needs taking out of the firing line ASAP and given some serious coaching lessons. Play Gayle, he knows where the goal is.

joeyt
Bruce shifted him onto the left wing for most of the game yesterday with ASM going up front. Not sure why
The Prophet
BBC actually did a decent piece on him last week, most of his touches are near the halfway line. That's not to say he's great or out, but can't help setting up the way we do.
loki679
He's still getting a bit of a pass from me. He's being played out of position, isolated in this Steve Bruce shambles of a side, you could put any striker in the world up front and they'd struggle. I actually feel a bit sorry for the lad. sh74
Would like him to start in his usual position on the left of a front 3 and a fit Dwight Gayle up front.
TRon
We have three other strikers, if any of them can actually pass a fitness test at some point this season it would be nice to see Bruce put them in the firing line.
LoveItIfWeBeatU
Gayle and Muto must wonder what they have to do to get a chance. Joelinton has had around 27 Premier League games and has scored once. Time to try something different. What's the worst that could happen? Gayle or Muto couldn't do much worse. Happinesstan
32 hours without a PL goal- according to MOTD.

We can't defend or create in this system.
gjohnson
Tomasson/Mitrovic mk2. Untried in Premier league Out of position Massive expectation Leaves at end of season , probably back to Germany, and becomes massively successful again

He was 22 when we signed him and was on an upward trajectory before we got involved. The 40m obviously remains insane but I'm my opinion he'll go on to have a decent career elsewhere at a club with actual coaches.

I don't see any qualities in the lad that would make him a good PL player at all.

You'd think anyone would have scored more but I refer back to Haller at West Ham who was banging them in abroad and he's only got 5 pl goals so far. The system is fucked and this lad needs help, which he's not getting.

I have some doubts about his goal scoring instincts, but I quite like his footwork, and I think he might even have a decent finish in him if he gets some decent service at his next club.
