Joelinton: will not play against Everton (Howe)

Bet Bruno is delighted for him. Always hoped he’d breakthrough at some point. Will be a massive buzz them travelling together. When he comes back as a full international he’ll be 2 feet taller.

Best time for him to be called up - it validates his whole approach this season. That he's kept doing it his way, playing that destroyer role while adding goals to his game as well., has got him there.

If he wasn't going to get a call up after a season like that, it might have put nagging doubts in his head about trying to change his game to get into the squad. Instead, Brazil are thinking differently and changing their approach by bringing in Joelinton.

Well done Big Joe, you deserve every success and accolade that comes your way.

At points this season, I am thinking as a fan, I am glad he is on our team especially when he is on beast mode, which seems to be every game.

I always remembered that interview against Norwich when the reporter said, 'We knew you were good, we didn't know you were that good'. He got slaughtered for saying it but we were all thinking the same thing.

Alongside Sean Longstaff saying that he was the player you wanted on team in training. Now we get it!  This is the biggest redemption arc we will surely see as a player at the toon. He fully deserves his call up.

In addition to everything, he also has to prepare a best man speech for Bruno's wedding, assuming that is a thing at Brazilian weddings.

Just now, Abacus said:

Good for him, and for us as well.

Hopefully shows ambitious players that you don't need to be playing for Man Utd or Barcelona to get international recognition.

Aye this has to reflect well on us for signing the Brazilian wonderkids we've been scouting.

It would help if Southgate wasn't allergic to calling up Newcastle players. I can't understand how Gallagher is in the England squad over Longstaff for example. Willock too if he wasn't injured.

Just because they were compatriots there was no guarantee that Bruno and Joelinton would become as close as they are. Plenty examples of Dutch players falling out with each other

We've struck gold having these two running our midfield
