Funniest thing is he developed pretty much all of that physicality after he signed for us.

and off his own steam iirc? Hired his own staff under Bruce I think

The Arsenal fans I know are all having a little whinge about Joelinton, some are saying he should be in wwe as he's more interested in fighting than playing football

When Joelinton is upsetting the opposition it just shows he's bullying their team and they can't handle it

Personally thought Timber and Partey in particular got away with alot more than they should yesterday. The comms i had on were praising how the ref let the play flow but thought more yellows were needed to protect our players.

The way they were slowing down the game early on, taking a long time to take free kicks, etc was very odd to me. They seemed to come in with the mentality of massive underdogs.

I think they thought we'd not score.

And they'd nick one of a setpiece so time wasted from the start.

I feel like Arteta concentrated too much on the kind of game he expected us to play. Even when losing they were slowing the game down and trying to take the sting out it. Yet some of their individual players were trying to foul and needle us.

Could be wrong but it felt like they were overly prepared for the occasion and not enough to play the match.

Yep. Rata taking that free kick early on near the East Stand. Was fucking about for ages and took forever to take it.

They’ve been like it all season, mind. Probably a lot to do with being down to ten men and also in games where they’ve shut up shop after getting a lead. But they’ve still been keen to slow things down.

More fool them. Helped us yesterday.

There is a whole thread on Twitter highlighting all his fouls and how bad the ref was. I mean, of course there is. Arsenal lost a game. So they have to blame someone

They came down to earth with a bump in the last couple of weeks. They thought they'd found the holy grail by becoming harder to beat, but they've lost something in their fluency going forward IMO. They gave us football lessons a year ago, now they didn't look anything special at all. I know they didn't have Odengaard, but surely their game doesn't just revolve around one player?

Big Joe / Little Joe is the way.

It makes the Barnes purchase all the more bizarre when you think we had Gordon/Joe/Joe/Anderson at the start of last season (Isak if we wanted 2 up top)

It would be the most Joelinton thing imaginable if he were to step up and solve the RW problem.

He'll never be a massive creative force but he has so much more about him than Murphy or Almiron in his general play and if it allows Gordon to play left then it adds so much to our team.

Looked more than good enough at RW, his versatility is such an advantage. I'm certain he'll be playing CB for us at some point.

He's just so intelligent in his play.

He tucks in and finds spaces and makes things easier for everyone around him.

Ends up giving us an extra man centrally at times, but getting wide at the right times too. Played off of Tino's overlapping runs well too, and even played in Isak at times.

Too good.
