Joelinton: will not play against Everton (Howe)

Recommended Posts

in a big occasion like this you need a warrior like him to lead the way, what a performance today and can't believe this is the same Striker that i absloutly hated seeing on the pitch a few years ago.

I've voted him  our player of the season for the last two years and he's honestly been one of my favorite football turnaround stories of all time.

Every time he's mentioned as the one that needs to be improved upon in midfield, my soul dies a little.

He is a colossus and does so much that is easy to overlook.

A monstrous performance full of heart, guts and commitment.

Love big Joe.

MOTM for me.

Not to take anything away from BDB - But every time they had the ball, he was there.

Interceptions. Tackles. Shepherding them away from the box. Up and down the field.

An exceptional individual performance within what was an exceptional team performance.

Super Joelinton.

An absolute beast, ran from the first minute to the last, chuffed for him after all the shit he got, most of which should have been directed to Bruce for the way he handled him.

He was fantastic. Not just in his usual barnstorming style, but his touch and control swung the game as much as anything. The midfield 3 were all outstanding, but he was probably the pick.

That's done me in that. I absolutely love him. It would have been so easy to down tools the way he was treated by the club and us under the old regime. He's transformed himself as a player, mentally and physically. He gives us so much and we are nowhere near the same team without him .The three key tackles today (two with players ahead of him he had to catch) were just so typical of him. He does that so often in big games we've at times become complacent about it and as soon as he's not absolutely dominating a midfield it's such and such should start as they use the ball better. Him Tonali and Bruno. That's the three, that's the engine, but Big Joe is the heart. He's done it against big teams time and again and puts himself in harm's way with his graft for the side, especially when we're up against it, even the professional fouls (ah Mr Elliot you think you will run past me do you?). He's the ultimate team player and the tank that pushed us over the line today. Vamos !! Joelinton Cássio Apolinário de Lira!! You deserve this !!

If it's true his house got robbed last night, then that makes this performance even more gargantuan. Hope if they ever catch the guys who did that while he was headed for Wembley are extradited to Saudi for punishment.

Who's cutting onions in here? He was a monster today. Winning so many duels. Completely bossing the Liverpool midfielders. I love him so much
