Sean
Can we bring Perez home and forget he existed. Seems a little cruel. Cruel? It was more cruel on anyone having to watch this guy try to play football. Aye, cruel. Poor bugger turns up for his first day back at training 'Who are you then?' 'Er, it's me, Ayoze, remember?' 'Never heard of you mate' I think he meant ignore Joelinton ever existed.

loki679
It's my own fault, I went for subtlety and nuance initially when I should have just posted something along the lines of 'This cunt sold yet? lolol'.

Shearergol
I was trying to think about my favourite goal of his, much like we did for Shearer the other day. It's probably that one right there.

samptime29
That Spurs goal is class. Knocked it around for ages before the goal. A rare highlight for Joelinton.
Shearergol
That Spurs goal is class. Knocked it around for ages before the goal. A rare highlight for Joelinton. Even Atsu was involved. Spurs seemed to back off far too much though. Don't they realise that the high-press is the way to win these days?

Yorkie
Should this lad have the number 9 taken off him? Probably for the best imo, meant in all sincerity. What levels of sentiment and relevance are actually attached to 'the Newcastle number 9' is pretty well up for debate these days, but he wears it horribly and even the 'manager' has said he isn't even a proper centre-forward. Would take some of the pressure off if he switched to one of the vacant numbers imo. #hotsoccerchat
joeyt
Has the number 9 shirt been 'removed' from anyone since they've been given it? Was someone else number 9 when Shearer came in? (probably a daft question)

loki679
Only way it'd happen would be if we brought in a new striker.

geordie john
Resurrected this as it's a while since the last comment. With the new signings (blow my socks off they do) what role does anyone see for Joel now? Sub? Sidekick to Wilson? Given away?
Guest
Probably loaned out to a mid-table German club.
Collage
Loaning out our #9 Or giving #9 to Wilson and then loan Big Joe out...has to be one of our worst #9s ever
La Parka
He should be loaned out. Maybe he will get his confidence back. More likely he's just shit though lol
Kanj
Maybe he’ll go back to #
TRon
Resurrected this as it's a while since the last comment. With the new signings (blow my socks off they do) what role does anyone see for Joel now? Sub? Sidekick to Wilson? Given away? Would like to see him starting on the bench and easing his way in, if there's a player in there then he might shine when there's less pressure being the main striker. Although realistically we'll probably loan him out.
Gallowgate Toon
Not that he could get any worse but I think he'll have a better season this year, if we manage him well (lol). Get some confidence coming off the bench and playing anywhere in the 3 behind Wilson - he's much more suited to that sort of position rather than leading the line. Possibility he could play in a front 2 at times as well.
