What's he good at? I.e. what remarkable quality does he have which makes him a £15m [whatever position you think he is]?

Never been convinced by the 'not a striker' argument. I think he probably IS one. Just one who isn't capable of playing in the PL. He'd probably hit double figures playing up front in a reasonable Championship side imo.

What he's good at is his reading of the game, and his decision-making about what to do in possession.

Trouble is, he's slow off the mark, and his first touch is dodgy. It's like his body isn't allowing him to do what he sees that he ought to do. With the pace of the Premiership, he therefore always looks vulnerable to losing the ball.

I was ready to write him off a few weeks ago, but he's shown a remarkable resilience and an ability to adapt, mainly by using his strength. He is improving, because he does have both determination and brains. How far that's going to take him, I'm not sure.

Joelinton is a total enigma, he's probably a really nice chap and I feel for him leaving Nagelsmann to come to work for Bruce and this shit show of a club, but he's never going to turn it around here unless the club is sold and a manager takes him under his wing and spends a ton of time working on his game.

He did well by his standards yesterday and I'd probably give him a chance if there was a change of manager/takeover but he just doesn't look like any sort of footballer. His touches are dreadful and he seems so slow.

Had some involvement in all goals today.

Hopefully can continue doing so, doubt it mind.

Nope. Just no goal instinct. Even when it was 0-0 and Murphy hit a shot that was parried by the keeper, a genuine striker would have been sniffing for the loose ball, Joelinton was back on his heels and taken by surprise that it came back into play.

He lost the ball countless times in dangerous positions also especially the second half. Hopefully Wilson getting more game time will see him on the bench very soon

Yeah I noticed that. Kinda summed up his lack of instinct. He might not have got to it but you can bet Wilson is snipping at that half chance. Joe's on another wavelength.

It's the stuff immediately after his goal you want to see more of especially, mind. He might never be a poacher but he's capable of bursting past a defender and getting a dig away. So infrequently pulls it off though.

Andreas Andersson? Too far. Should have stopped at Shola.

Andersson was much better than Joelinton. Statistically, artistically and hairstylistically. Joelinton is the worst centre forward I've ever seen play for us, beating the likes of Riviere, Guivarc'h and Chopra. The man has no qualities at all.

- He can't head

- He's weak as water

- He's not quick

- He has no instinct in the box

- He's shite at holding it up

- He's literally never hit one clean shot with his instep before

- He usually passes to them

- He has a touch like Barry Bennel

- And he's got the shittest most disinterested attitude we've seen in years

If we'd brought him in on a free I'd still think the deal needed invetsigating.

I agree, apart from I think Riviere was worse. Only slightly though.

I've just checked the stats. Can't believe we fielded him 26 times. I honestly thought he played twice and then we hid him out of embarrassment. Aye, he was indeed shite.

Agree about the hairstyle, can't recall much else about him. Didn't he score like 2 goals in his entire time here?

From wiki, and not taking into account minutes on the field or shitness of the team at the time:

Andreas 4 in 27                  1 in 6.75

Big Jow 5 in 65                   1 in 13

Riviere 1 in 26                       1 in 26

Mitro 14 in 65 (including a season in Div 2)               1 in 4.6

Tomasson 3 in 23                  1 in 7.6

Kitson 10 in 36                        1 in 3.6

Shola 79 in 397                     1 in 5

Guivarc'h 1 in 4                      1 in 4

Chopra 1 in 21                        1 in 21   (lol)

Luque 1 in 21                           1 in 21   (lol)

And just for comparison, a few fondly remembered players who didn't fare that much better.

Kluivert 6 in 25               1 in 4.1

Big dunc 8 in 30                1 in 3.75

Sibierski 8 in 39               1 in 4.87
