nemtizz
I know Bruno and Tonali are aesthetically better and might have bigger moments than him but I think he's the hardest of the 3 to replace, as frustrating as he can be.

Not sure about hardest to replace but we certainly look a lot worse without him starting.

He offers us so much and you can easily forget that even when he's not playing fully fit. When he is out you notice the difference straight away. We dont need to find the same player, but having Willock and Longstaff as backup is not good enough. Leaving Miley out of the conversation. Donut
Was missed today. His workrate off the ball is what holds our midfield together.
Stifler
Spent all that time toeing the line so he didn’t get a 2 game suspension, to end up with us getting battered off Villa in one of the games he would have missed, and then missing the rest of the season regardless. SUPERTOON
Would love him to be available, but we have had plenty of similar performances with him in the side this season.

What we needed today in midfield was better ball retention of a bit of creativity. Admittedly I think he’d have functioned better with Tonali and Bruno than Willock did. Sibierski
He’s going to be patched up and rolled out for Chelsea game isn’t he? Throw all into it and get under the knife afterwards.
TRon
17 hours ago, McCormick said: Not sure about hardest to replace but we certainly look a lot worse without him starting. I think he is the hardest to replace because he's not just a midfielder, he combines that with givins us width on the left as well. The only other natural player who can do that is Willock, and he doesn't have the same combative strength in midfield. Tonali or Bruno you could arguably replace in the side with Miley or Longstaff. Obviously a step down but it's at least like for like.
Keggy_Keagal
He's too vital to take risks with his long term health, I've said it many time before I don't really see another player in European football that brings what he does to the side and he and us have taken too many risks with his knee injury as it is. I'd rather we got there without him and have him fit and firing for next season.
Conjo Posted just now Share Posted just now I'm fairly certain he is the player opponents hate facing the most out of all our players.
