I still dislike Bruce, understand ultimately hes a shite manager and we are going nowhere under him but I'm not going to pretend that the football was any better for large parts of last season either. Somehow, and I dont understand how, the team are playing for him and he is picking up results, I don't expect it to last but we are doing extremely well on paper. Lies. All. Lies. The main point is that he’s a symbol of a pointless football club. Bruce usually starts off well at new clubs. A lot of our success can still be put down to Rafa’s organisation. The big thing for Bruce is going to be when we ultimately go on a poor run. Could he turn around it around? If he had came in last season with the fixtures Rafa had, theirs no way he would have been able to turn us around. Look at Pardew with us, and everyone else. He started off well, had a good 18 months due to conference in the team with decent players. Once we hit a rough patch he couldn’t get out of them. We often went on 5 game losing streaks and then 5 game winning runs. Bruce’s record in the Premier League is quite consistent, start off well, then ultimately drop off and struggle.
