Nobody
Really think having every PL game on TV and/or staggered kick off times for all games would really damage the football pyramid Maybe the 'football pyramid' isn't as strong as you like to think it is..? joeyt
Well the PL and FA have been doing their best to weaken it in recent years
Kaizero
Norwegian national team aren't allowed to travel from Norway to Romania due to a player having tested positive for Covid-19, which breaks our Corona-laws for self-isolation. Will forfeit the game 0-3. The match against Austria on Wednesday might be done with a team full of reserves not originally called up. The A-Team players are now on commercial flights back to their respective teams around Europe, this instead of on a private flight to Romania - because they can infect so many more people on that private jet. Fucks our chances of promotion to the A-Division, fucks our extra qualifying chance for the 2022 WC, likely placing us in the C-Division, likely give us a harder WC qualifying draw due to lower seeding. It's the most idiotic bullshit I've heard from our government, clearly looking for a high profile example to be made for the general population rather than following the logic of the other 54 countries in Nations League. jdckelly
I get the various FA's need money but jesus fucking christ Europe is in the grips of a second wave and they think having players travel all over the place now is a good idea? And yes the same argument can be made for CL and EL being scrapped/paused as well but at least thats more doable as you can have bubbles for each team, with internationals its not possible to put a secure bubble together as you have players coming from various clubs at various levels some who won't have remotely the same kind of steps a top level club can put in place

Wullie
Depends how long it lasts but surely going to create a flashpoint in the lower leagues where some clubs will be above their normal attendance while others in the same division stay empty. Risk with the latter suggestion is if you've had a season ticket for 30 or 40 years there's a good chance you could be in the at risk age group
Segun Oluwaniyi
Why would it be a finite number rather than a percentage of capacity? This is a close to a fifth of Burnley's capacity, but will be a much smaller fraction of Manchester United's.

Guessing it's about reducing risk and those with larger stadiums would typically have people travelling longer distances which would increase risk.
