So out of their 25 man squad plus the additional homegrown and youth players they don’t have 13 players plus one goalkeeper? Seems very unlikely given these outbreaks have been going on for 2+ weeks and they should be isolated/recovered by now

Leeds probably haven't tbf, even without Covid they're on their arse

Five players out of a 25 man squad is nothing like, I don't understand how clubs are crying and trying to get games called off when it's like that, there's been plenty of examples over the years of teams having 5 injuries and being able to field a side, it doesn't add up.

Chelsea and there huge squad had 4 players out last week and tried to get thr game called off ffs

Presumably enough to pass whatever the threshold is. But not enough to realistically be competitive enough to win.

Hopefully we've got a few players back who were injured. Doesn't change the fact all of this is a total and utter farce, mind.

If you've got two teams who are similarly afflicted and one is forced to play while the other isn't, then it's definitely unfair. Dunno what the situations are at Leeds and Watford compared to Everton, though.

See absolutely nowt wrong with a team being expected to play a couple of non-first-teamers.

Yeah exactly I think that's the thing, thr unfairness Is that some teams get a game called off whereas others have to play, not that you've got a few players out injured/covid so have to play some reserves, teams have 25 man squads for a reason, games shouldn't be getting called off for a few players being out

Just look at Leeds. The club got a majority of its players vaccinated but suffered a massive injury crisis and could only field nine first teamers during a congested fixture run.

Man United have a piss poor vaccination uptake, COVID spreads like wildfire and they get a fortnight off.

It doesn't send a good message and the consistency of it doesn't really sit right.
