WarrenBartonCentrePartin
Jesus, when will this absolute shitshow end Based what I've found, he might be 48? Average life expectancy for men in the UK is 79. So 2051-ish?

Guest godzilla
He’s getting plenty of replies from our lot after that tweet. Doesn’t look like the blacklisted 20 yesterday is going to slow down business. 3 things in the last 24 hours, sanctions against nobody involved with PIF, GB arms deal ban with SA is no more and Raab's tweet about SA relations. This is going through.
Teasy
And yet Abramovich's relationship with Putin is just fine............ Not 100% sure, but I think it was introduced after Abramovich bought the Chelsea. It doesn't seem to be a one-off thing, the PL rules require directors to be declared every season and they can be disqualified at that point if the PL becomes aware that they fail the O&D test. Abramovich has reportedly admitted in court to paying millions in bribes, which would clearly be an offence that in this country that would reasonable be considered to be dishonest. It should be a constant thing really, I mean if they look at new owners to see if they're unfit how can it be accepted that someone currently running a club couldn't possibly become unfit? Reason is its actually not possible for the PL to stop the takeover. All they could do is ban Newcastle United from their competition if taken over by someone they deem unfit. With new owners they can use that as a threat to prevent a takeover they don't like. But in reality there's literally no chance they would ever ban a member from their league and if they did the test on current owners that might end up having to happen. Rompe
I get it guys! She wasn't his wife, only his fiancee, that's not of any relevance to the point I was making, but well done lads! Why do you not go and support another club then, as the only thing I have seen you contribute on within the footballing part of the forum is the takeover and your anti-thoughts on it. Do you have to support the takeover to support the club now? That seems to be the consensus on here anyway.

Toon No9
The board of the PL must all resign after this. They've handed this in an awfull way. This should never take this long. It's a takeover of a football club, not a political game. The longer theese things take, the harder for them to make a desition. It can't be that hard to make a desition. Either you approve or you don't. They're digging themselfs a grave here. Either desition they make now will be wrong for someone and they will probably get sued by someone either way now. One thing I don't get, is that it is all confidential but they are listening to everyone who has any complaints. And the more time it takes, the more complaints from both sides. This desition should be based on if they're fit to run a football club and that only. The piracy thing and the human rights thing is another matter and should not be judged by the PL and has nothing to do with if they can run a football club. I don't see why they can't own a football club and still be punished for other rhings by other autorities if found guilty of thoose things. GET A DESITION MADE NOW!!! Rompe
I thought my post was quite balanced! No one can claim to know the context of the killing one way or the other Rompe isn't looking for balance, his aim is to pick out the extreme of a post and run with that. Twist it to fit his narrative. Nothing to see here apart from a terrible wum. My "narrative" is simply that Saudi Arabia is a horrible regime, and I want them nowhere near NUFC. That's how i genuinely feel about the matter, and I'm not trying to wind up anyone. Are there other horrible regimes? Yes. Is Qatar horrible? Yes, and I was against them buying Man City (PSG, lol). Does that make Saudi Arabia any less bad? No. If the takeover goes through we will always be associated with Saudi Arabia, and I would absolutely hate that. I could go into detail as to why I dislike Saudi Arabia so much, but I won't bother, I've written too much about the matter as is, imo.

Toon No9
Shouldn't it be the members of a football club that decides if a new owner is fit to own their club? Shouldn't be the PL:s matter imo. Don't think the members wants an owner who doesn't want what's best for the club.

Sadly it kinda feels like a logical choice, it won't be the same. I just hope it won't go through, I know I'm in the minority and i understand people disagreeing with that. Being in favour of the takeover, and defending Saudi Arabia is two different things though. I can understand wanting the takeover, but people on here defending Saudi Arabia is just baffling in my honest opinion. They really are horrible.
