Tbf there's next to no movement ahead of him. So when he or any of the other defenders are on the ball it goes backwards and sideways. Shite all round.

Nah. Every time he gets the ball he turns towards our own goal instead of turning the other way. He has no ambition to turn forward.

You see exactly that in our 2nd goal against Everton.

Oh wow, he did once in a game out of how many has he played?

He’s fucking shit, just admit it.

He might have had some promise, however with Bruce and his mates he’ll end up being a lower end Championship player in the next few years.

Shit is harsh, he's playing in a team playing poorly, a team for the most part without confidence, he does get forward but as the junior hand does look to keep it safe. Played really well last week when the team seemed to be full of confidence, no surprise eh ?

Wasn't as bad once we went down to 10, then 9 men. We conceded the game, and it was backs to the wall. To that extent, he didn't cost us a goal - so did well enough.

When it was still 11 vs. 11, especially in the first half he was dreadful I thought. Can't remember him getting forward too much to offering anything outside of ASM - but can imagine it's like he's been told to defend from behind him because ASM is a liability tracking back/on turnovers.

Was out muscled at every opportunity - can remember Ings, Redmond, Adams all getting the better of him.

Lads a bloody wimp. Needs to get some fight into him. Danny Rose a few years ago is a good example, not especially gifted at anything, no real end product, not great defensivly but a radge 100mph bastard.

Mixed bag today but an improvement. Clearly a confidence player.

This.  When we went down a man he knew what his job was and he did it well.  He covered a lot of ground, closed down well and broke up play.

He'll be a good player under a real coach.

He's an absolute hopeless defender.  Weak as piss, no idea what a tackle is and don't get me started on his throw ins.

No surprise he has looked better as the whole team has looked better. He's never going to be a game changer but with the right system and manager I think he'd come good.

Like everyone else in the squad, I'm not going to slate them while working under a terrible manager like Bruce who I'd imagine offers someone like Lewis absolutely nothing.

He lost a couple of even battles and some of you are going on like he’s a pushover. He made some decent tackles and won a lot of headers today. He also seems to support ASM well going forward. He’s got talent and it’s a bit RTG how many people seem to want to slag him off.

They've decided he is shite and every little thing will be over exaggerated from now on without fail.

  • 3 weeks later...

Kid is way out of his depth, along with Krafth. We're so exposed down the sides and through the middle with Shelvey.

The amount of times he does stupid unnecessary fouls down the sides that lead to goals is getting ridiculous.

I wouldn't mind him if he could just do the basics well but he actively hurts us whenever he gets on the ball.
