We ain't bournemouth we want to challenge and he doesn't cut the mustard anymore. Don’t know. He gave an injury prone Dummett a new contract. Probably more for the behind the scenes stuff and being a mentor to Osula and Isak. Edited April 29 by Joelinton7
Crimson Cardigan
I’m relaxed. If he goes it’s time. If he doesn’t, Howe sees something, and all those writing him off with such certainty are wrong, just like they were with Gordon, Murphy, Barnes etc.
janpawel
Extend for a year and sell to Saudi / another team? Thats exactly what I am hoping we do with Dubravka

Their legs, pace and body hadn’t given up on them. I almost feel sorry for the multi millionaire good looking fucker watching him now.
gazza ladra
I think the rationale was the hope that he could play his way into form. Obvious now that isn't going to happen. Late in a game he can take the ball into the corner when needed. Would think that Gordon is our best option if we need a goal.

Especially in the context of the club we’re trying to be now. Even if his legs come back (not likely in the real world) we need better and far more reliable than Callum Wilson. Ben
In a daft way I think a new Wilson deal must mean Howe has huge faith in Osula, no new striker to bring in and more cash to spend on RW CD and GK

Sibierski
Wilson stays, we must be signing a young(ish) 2nd choice striker so they have some experience to work with on training ground.

I never said that? I was just disputing the idea of signing another young backup striker to learn on the training ground. I'd rather someone more proven came in. TBG
Targett. Kelly. Wilson. Mitchell must resign.
kingxlnc
Isak David Osula on loan and Wilson would be a solid group of strikers that would achieve everything we need.
southernmag
I watched him closely when he came on against Ipswich and thought he looked quite quick and mobile. I'd still like him sold but didn't think he looked that slow tbh. Maybe I need my eyes checked. Edited April 30 by southernmag

I think it's more an issue of sharpness and confidence he is lacking, I don't think he has actually lost much pace. I hope so, I've already gone through a handful of milestones already this season that were definitely when he was going to get his goal, the cup final being the latest. 90+6 winner at the Emirates in a couple of weeks will do nicely! Or did you mean for us to actually win the CL next year?

Who replaces Sala, Haaland and look at Arsenal up front at the moment? As I say, I agree with you but a lot of teams go with this high risk strategy. Some of these clubs are taking too big a risk but at the same time I wonder if fans are a little stuck in the past with big squads, say Yorke, Cole, Sheringham and Solskjær? That depth just doesn't exist anymore. Shows how the game has changed.
