How's he going to leave in Jan, other than us giving him away and paying half his wages.

He's been stealing a living for years, as nice a guy as he is.

Stealing a living for years is incredibly harsh. Didn’t he get 18 goals to help us in the champions league?

At this stage he’s of no value to us, in fact he may as well be Isaac Hayden. Love the guy but he’s a drain on our wage bill, seriously, there’s no injury as such but he can feel a tightening……I was all for keeping him but he’s having the life of Riley at our expense.

Saves us money in wages though, Unless willie is a damn good replacement we can't keep on leaving Isak upfront who will leave without progress.Psr is as much to blame here as Howes lo loyalty

I'd be surprised if he goes in January. We desperately need a right winger and a new midfielder, replacing Wilson would be a significant investment because the new forward will be rotating with Isak and we need him to score goals when he does, that type of player won't be cheap. We'll lose Wilson for free in January or the summer either way so I think we'll hold onto him. The only scenario I can see with him leaving in January is if his wages are needed and we can't offload someone like Targett instead.

I honestly think he won’t play for us again.

I think his priority right now is getting fit for his show window period before his contract runs out.  Zero risk approach.  If he’s fit for the last 6 months vs 3 it won’t make much difference.  He just needs to be fit and scoring at the end of the season.

That’s lovely. In the meantime we flog Isak to injury breaking point over the Xmas period.

At this point we aren't going to get a fee for him anyway. Best scenario all round would be for him to be fit for a patch of games, and then score enough goals to win some crucial fixtures. He did that before once and we got into the CL.

Be lucky if he makes another 10 appearance.

The stealing a living bit was indeed harsh, but it's taking the piss now.

He’s now missed more games than Michael Owen, who we all thought stole a living here

Wilson's not turning out for England a week after telling Newcastle he's snapped his hamstring though.

Absolutely right, but it is now starting to feel like Wilson taking the piss as much

Based on what? Wilson has always been fully committed, he’s just incredibly injury prone
