I'm an unemotional sociopath but l've fell apart at Wilson at the end there.

Gone from sitting here hoping him and Maxi play 20 games each to keep us up to this.

All the best Cal

Not sure 49 goals in total, 47 in the league in 5 years is quite worthy of the status some would afford him but he’s been a good striker for us, no question. Right time for him to leave and wish him the best.

I think if you factor in goals to games ratio and don't blame him for being unlucky with injuries, he's been a great signing overall, I'm sure we will all wonder what could have been without the injuries, but he really was a top striker at his best.

He was a one-in-two games centre forward for us until injuries finally caught up with him

3rd best NUFC CF in my time, for me - and the first I can remember is Goddard

Naysayers will criticise him heavily for not being in the chosen League of Extraordinary Gentlemen, but he's put his shift in, even if he was shite this season.

Best Ashley-era striker by a mile. Ba, my arse.

This season has obviously been poor for him, but thats mainly due to his body just giving up on him, which isn't really his fault, so its the right time for him to leave, but he's been a crucial player for us over the last 5 years, especially in that 4th season (He scored 18 goals that season), and in the survival seasons the years prior to that. Being the second highest goal scorer for the club in the Premier League era is no joke. So i'll always remember him fondly.

The average sexy-ness of the squad just got a lot lower.

Haddaway man. Until this season the lad was a 1 in 2 striker for us, with half of that playing for and with a load of rubbish.

The lad has been crippled by injuries unfortunately but we knew that even when we bought him.

The unprecedented 14 goals he scored while Ashley was owner put Ba’s 29 under Pardew to shame.

Love him to bits, but it's clearly time for him to leave. He goes with my admiration and thanks for being such an effective player for us, it's just a shame he got injured so much.
