No sell on clause.

From a dark humour perspective I kind of want the Greek keeper to have a 20% sell on clause no matter the fee received. I mean if you're going to fuck up royally you might as well really, REALLY fuck up royally.

As we all know we really did have no room to manoeuvre though I personally would’ve took the points hit.

Newcastle must sell Elliott Anderson to avoid 1 charge against them.

Man City must sign Elliott Anderson despite 115 charges against them.

Christ that makes me miserable. Or more miserable than usual I mean. Suppose it's better than him going to one of the red tops though.

That radge Greek won’t let him go without a huge fee.

Rightfully so [emoji38]

The more he pushes the price up, the more everyone else that's trying to get bullied for their players can do the same by pointing to the ridiculous fees other clubs got off of the despicable cartel.

In the meantime waste their time as much as possible and take them right to the end of the window too if possible.

He's probably lucky Pep has gone if hes going to citeh

Could have seen him going the same way as Kalvin Phillips with Pep still there.

We sold him and Minteh and then we won the cup. I'd do the same again.

Still a bit bittersweet, but then again he probably wouldn't have played as much here. In his last season he was our best player in pre-season and started our first league game on the bench.

I think Pep has proven to be right about Kalvin Phillips mind , he's been absolutely shite and unfit everywhere he's been for about 5 years now .

What is the hindsight we are talking about here?

Aye, Phillips hasn't done himself any favours.

That said, I think that transfer can probably only be put down to Man City signing him so no-one else did and Phillips being happy to take the coin, unless there was initially a plan for Pep to do something like play Rodri as a centre back who steps into midfield, which is what Stones' job became for a year or so whether from CB or RB. And when he signed they only then saw he was nowhere near. Phillips was arguably the second best CDM in the country when they signed him, probably alongside Fabinho, but there's no world where he (or anyone to be fair to him!) was ever going to take over from or be adequate cover for Rodri.

Yeah if that happens that's pretty gross and not a bad microcosm of all the faults of modern football at the top level.

From a footballing perspective there is huge risk for Anderson (financially the move would set him up for life). There would be huge pressure to perform at the highest levels straight away, but because of the quality of players in the squad he might not be given time to adapt and as others have said he could easily go the way of Phillips if he doesn't hit the ground running. Additionally with the manager change who knows how City will do next year.

He's a good player but I haven't seen from him the performances and key attributes which would justify a fee in the region of what is being demanded.

Probably works out with him on loan here in a couple of years after he's been spat out by City once they move onto the next English flavour of the month player like they've done with Grealish and Phillips.

Unfortunately, we know it’s not beneath these cunts to unnerve players and sow discord to force a sale.
