No, not only is Murphy a far better passer from wide, but his role involves switching the team from 433 to 532 as the game requires. Not many players can do that.

Still convinced a fit little joe could a better job on the right of the front three than Murphy.

Absolutely no chance. For starters that would require Willock to be fit for more than a few weeks at a time.

He's struggling to perform in his preferred position never mind one that's unfamiliar

He was terrible yesterday mind like he was sniffing glue before entering the pitch. 😂

Before he started coming good previously I used to think he wandered about looking a bit dazed

He seems to take an age to get upto speed after injuries then just as he's starting to look great he gets another injury. I'd flog him make some money while we can.

We should definitely cash inn while he still has some value. Because it’s rapidly decreasing. He’s looking really hopeless out there, and just falling over and not clicking with anything we do on the pitch.

Allways been a big Willock fan, and I think his last full season is being understated by many due to short term memory. If it wasn't for the injuries last season, I'm convinced he would've been an absolute baller by now. However, it seems like a year out has had a massive impact on him. A young and explosive player going through all that trouble can really take its toll. I want to give him more time to fully recover (it has been a while already), but I'm starting to lose hope on him becoming what I thought he would be.

Think this is spot on. I think a lot of coaching and consistent play, building his sense of agency in a game, got him to the level he was at, but it's been substantially blown apart by a terrible time with injuries. And space for him to receive so much attention and game time has narrowed down a lot.

Another sub appearance where he contributed absolutely nothing positive. Do hope there's some potential suitors in the summer, think he's done here. Nice lad and given some good moments but I don't think he's that useful now. Hope to be proved wrong.

Aye sadly this is where I'm at as well.

Same. Earlier in the season I had him ahead of JL in our best 11. I'm not really sure what's happened. A mixture of injuries, consistency, and confidence I guess.

There's a player there, and we need a squad, but if there's decent money to be had I wouldn't be saying no as things stand.

Can't get back to his best without consistent games.

Can't afford to carry a player that contributes nothing to get form/full fitness back.

With PSR so prominent and wanting to keep our best players Willock is an immediate collateral damage sale. We won't get what he is potentially worth though and won't bring in a replacement either, so I get Eddie's catch 22.7

Looks like his boots are full of cement again... He's not really a player for unlocking defences when we are trying to get through a low block.

Having a player like him and Barnes to seal the deal when the game is stretched seems a bit like a luxury now. We need another profile first.
