Alkmaar will have a huge market for Smit in the summer, the player will have his pick of clubs and his agent will make an absolute packet. They'd all be absolutely mad to agree to anything now.

Hes already locked in for Romano show in the summer.

Just noticed Kenneth Taylor has gone to Lazio. How did that slip under the radar?!

He'd have been the perfect replacement, and he went for less than we'll get for Willock!

Honestly think the reason it hasn't worked out for him here is partly down to him wanting to be back in London. Probably we should sell, but only if they are willing to stump up a reasonable fee. $25m+ at least in today's market IMO.

Selling now only makes sense with a replacement, which doesn't look likely so we have to keep hold of him

With Joelinton injured, Bruno half injured and Miley covering at RB we can't afford to let Willock go with all the games we have coming up

If he keeps up this form, we should try to tie him down with a new contract. He offers something different with his good acceleration and a bit of flair. He was also good defensively as shown in the 22-23 season.

£25m for Willock at 26 in the domestic market seems too cheap to me

Wait until you see how much he actually goes for in the summer.

It's definitely too cheap but it's presumably because of how long is left on his contract here.

£26 million would be an insanely good fee given his output and injury record over last couple of years.

The reality is we'll end up selling him for a pittance eventually.

I see similarities with him a Ramsey in that regard. My feeling is that if he has 4 years on his contract he's going for an extra 5-10m

He's been good the last two games but he gets injured way too often.

We really need to be cutting down on injury prone players.

We'll hold onto him and he'll see out his contract imo.  Either that or we'll renew it for 45 years or something equally dumb.

Yep. I wanted Ramsey to start in his place. Yet he was one of the only positives in the first half.

In fact, TBF to him. He is one of the only positives from the last 4 games. Granted it’s a low bar.
