But despite key absences, Bruce has had full access to talented players who are more then capable of getting results, as well as admittedly less talented players he either: chose himself, endorsed, or waxes lyrical about despite their obvious limitations. As usual, he says whatever suits his self-preserving agenda. The line about injuries is, like everything else, exaggerated bullshit masking his own inabilities. The reality is, he's had at least two of the 'big three' attackers to choose from on no fewer than thirty occasions this season, and still we've lumbered through, unimpressive throughout and seemingly avoiding points and goals at all costs. W9 D7 L14 is the record when at least two of the three have been available. That's not factoring in £40m-worth of Joelinton he was happy to accept, or Carroll/Fraser that he chose.
