Footy Insider, mixed bag... https://www.footballinsider247.com/sources-bruce-tells-friends-he-could-quit-newcastle-united/

Steve Bruce has told friends he is feeling “lower than ever before” and has given thought for the first time to quitting Newcastle United, Football Insider can exclusively reveal.

The 60-year-old’s public stance is he won’t walk out on the job he craved for much of his managerial career, which he reiterated again earlier this month.

But a source with knowledge of Bruce’s situation has told Football Insider he is feeling “really down” and “lower than ever before” as the pressures of the job mount.

Bruce is tired of taking the brunt of the supporters’ anger and continued dissatisfaction at the ownership of Mike Ashley, who has failed to sell the club to a Saudi Arabia-backed consortium.

As the public face of the club, the manager believes he is taking all the flak from the fans and the media despite doing the job with one hand tied behind the back.

Ashley’s stance is that he has no intention of sacking Bruce while Newcastle are in the Premier League.

Glorious

Need to make sure the heat is kept on & as pointed as possible Saturday

Getting Almiron was huge.  Playing on the left he opened a lot of space for Perez and Rondon to move in centrally.

and the fact that everyone was so fucking disciplined from the back right through to the front including ayoze.

knew their jobs and the game plain to a tee.

at the monemnt it just looks like a fucking free for all school game with players running wherever and just trying to fluke the ball to ASM.

I really wish we'd signed Choudury and Jones so that, when we were in the exact same position despite him being backed to such a reasonable extent, he wouldn't have that excuse to fall back on.

What occurred over this summer passed, including the statement that was released, was unquestionably no way to work cooperatively with your manager. However, it's an irrelevance when you consider what little effect on the pitch a couple more players would have had, and it wasn't as if he wasn't backed. And, above all, of course there's that elephant in the room regarding his grateful acceptance of Ashleyism. It's what got him the job in the first place and he has no right complaining about his working conditions to the same extent someone like Rafa did.

Fuck him.

I don't think he deserved any signings this summer to be honest.

He's absolutely tanked the value of all of the players he has inherited and none of the signings he was allowed to bring in last summer have panned out, barring Callum Wilson, who ultimately won't work out under Bruce anyway because he has to be managed smartly due to his injury history and Bruce is the absolute worst for that.

In a way it's actually working out that fans are still going to the games because they can voice they're disgust at the rubbish being served up, and it's what he deserves. He's extremely fortunate that last season no fans were present. The guy is a clown.

Must be class being like pardew, you’re immune from anxiety or depression. At least pardew was memeable. “The king” ,  head butting meyler, the obsession with sea world. Bruce is just annoying.

Remember when he turned up to the Monaco GP just looking like an unbridled cunt?

Don't forget calling Pellegrini an 'old cunt'.

I have no sympathy for Bruce whatsoever, all this crap about one hand tied behind his back is just hot air, he constantly praises Ashley and Charnley, in the summer he made a slight remark about transfers through Edwards and they hit back with an unsigned letter.

Bruce shit himself and went straight back under Ashley's desk, his reputation could be saved in the North East if he joined in with his fellow geordies and fought against the ownership, however he loves money to much to the point where he thinks he deserves a pay off.

Working for Sports Direct United he probably does.

Three years ago tomorrow, Bruce sacked at our place, when the table looked like this.

In the team which drew 3-3 at home to Preston (best shot of the night, the one involving someone throwing a cabbage at him): Tammy Abraham, Axel Tuanzebe, Jack Grealish, John McGinn, James Chester - some very solid players at that level.

Shocking underachievement.

Serious indictment of what the bloke is; a enthusiasm sapping loser. If he was to take charge of your squad now, Leicester, West Ham or Everton, he'd have them struggling. He is that bad its unbelievable. Speaks volumes that Smith came in (a manager with little pedigree in the game certainly at the time of his appointment) and made you far more fun to watch, think I remember one 5-5 draw  , but the enthusiasm from the fans surely had gone up tenfold when lard arse got the bullet. Then he takes you on a run of 10(?) straight wins and gets you up via the play offs.

It's unbelievable. If he fucked off after Saturday or whenever we'd be comfortably safe.

I see he doesn’t understand the ongoing legal wrangles.

Here you go, Stephen: A new dairy farm has started its own range of butter (salted, obvzzz) and want the main supermarkets to stock it. However Lurpak, Country Life, Anchor et al are worried it’ll affect their sales.

In turn, they’ve lobbied Tesco, Sainsbury’s, Morrisons and Asda not to stock it. Those four supermarkets are now batting off the dairy farm with various reasons why they can’t stock their lovely salty fucking butter despite also claiming to offer customers a variety of options.

It’s pathetic how easily Bruce gets these knackers onside. Be a bit nice to them and they drop their knickers like dirty hookers. Bruce isn’t stupid in that department like, but the reporters clearly are for falling for it. He doesn’t really like you, you bunch of desperate daft cunts, he’s just playing the game so he doesn’t get stick off you. Dicks.

I know that your tongue is bursting through your cheek there  but he's clearly rattled by a modicum of dissent and it'll be more vociferous from away followings. Hope the lads going down to Wolverhampton tomorrow keep it up.
