QPR will play with no pressure and will play well imo, and with our toothless frontline, we'll struggle even against them I reckon. Arsenal is a guranteed loss I think, unless Pardew gives the teamtalk of his life. Wigan are also just too up for it, my fingers are crossed but I don't see us squeezing out of this nightmare, hope to god I'm wrong QPR will play well? They've never done that before, don't see why they should start now. I understand your nervousness but you've taken it a bit far there. For once I actually agree with Ian, think there is still hope here and QPR are woeful, a point there though may be enough, hell we could lose both games and there would still be a chance that we could move up the table by the end of the season Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...

They play Arsenal away two days after the cup final, I can't see them getting a thing there, a heavy loss would be awesome. If they don't beat Swansea, then they have to beat Villa to have any hope of survival. Think there are some really key games coming up, obviously tonight's match plus Norwich v WBA, Villa v Chelsea, our game at QPR and Sunderland v Soton. The results of those games will probably decide who goes down. I would love to be going into that Arsenal game already safe, we need Swansea to get something tonight really. If (and it's a massive one) we stay up I don't think we'll be knocking about again at the bottom for a reasonable amount of time going forward, if we go down I think we're likely to get stuck down there due to the number of players that will want/need to leave unlike last time when fortunately not that many people wanted them. This time it's like we've sleepwalked through most of the season and woken up on the edge of a cliff, and so far it seems like the drowsiness hasn't lifted and we're going to head on over, while most of the other clubs are running away full pelt. It is a completely different situation and I agree the the relegation was kind of a cleansing process for the club. This time though there are not a lot (maybe just Ryan Taylor and perhaps Jonas) of poor players and ridiculous contracts, that relegation allows you the opportunity to get rid of. We are also in a healthy financial position and relegation won't cripple us. We have most of our players locked up on long term deals. There will be no need for a fire sale and the ownership having been through this once before will be pretty confident that we will just be in the lower tier for one year and reluctant to sell any players at cut price deals. Yup, that's what I was getting at. Due to the (now not so) clever recruitment we'll be able to turn a profit on all of them anyway you'd have thought despite the worst happening.
