2 at the moment. Fail to see Leicester, Burnley or Hull finishing above us for starters, that's before throwing in QPR, Sunderland, Palace, WBA....

I hate to say it but I think Hull will beat us...

Bruce knows what the atmosphere is like on Tyneside, knows our run of form, and knows if they come out fighting and get ahead early they will beat us.

I went with a 7 a while back (ever the pessimist) but will shunt up to an 8 if Carver is left in charge. I know there are teams who are supposed to be worse than us but I think we'll just deflate more and more while Burnley, Palace, West Brom and teams of that ilk will find that extra bit of belief.

New poll. I'm now an 8. He might fluke a win against Hull but JC is going to get bummed by his bezzie mate Pards.

On average you need 36 points, but aye probably won't even need that, 40 is more likely to have us 13th or 14th than relegated IMO.

If I thought there was any realistic chance at all I'd stick £100 on at 33/1, but just think in this case it'd be pissing £100 down the drain.

There's 1-2 fluke wins in there against better sides.

Countered by 1-2 devastating losses to absolutely woeful sides.

If we're talking purely in terms of survival which clearly the club is, there's 4 wins in there like. Still think we'll finish mid to late 40 point mark.

2 wins, 2 draws and 12 defeats from now until the end of the season would give us the points tally that would have kept us up the season we went down. Even if we're god awful with something like 3 wins & 3 draws and 10 defeats we stay up imo.

Just checked the odds and we're as big as 33/1 to go down.

Personally I don't think we'll go down at this stage but that's exceptional odds because we will be dragged into the bottom 6. If we go into a proper tailspin then I wouldn't rule it out totally.
