There's bound to be at least one shock result in the games between us v Palace and villa, Sunderland v arsenal and Chelsea and Norwich v man utd and arsenal. Unfortunately it won't work in our favour so we just need to hope that the results on paper hold up.

The old saying of "taking it one game at a time" could not be more apt.

We must beat Palace. (Don't, and we are gone).

We must beat Villa. (Don't, and we are gone)

Then we will see what the situation is ahead of the spuds game.

I don't understand the concept of taking things one game at a time.   How do you take lots of games at once?

That was Sunderland's hardest fixture on paper and they took a point from it, they are staying up :( I am at a 9.999. Despite how great that comeback was yesterday and the great performance against Man City, we needed more than 2pts from them, we put ourselves into such a huge hole, no way out of it now.

Down to an 8 after that. Fairly content with that result. Long as they don't win at Stoke which I think is unlikely we just have to do our job to be out the bottom 3. Don't share the negative view that that's a bad score for us.

They gained a point, at this stage every point someone gets is vital so yes it's a negative.

If they'd lost, we'd have the same points and they'd still be about 6 goals better off on the GD. We're not going to overturn that goal difference, we still need to win the next 2 and hope they don't win their next 2 and the game in hand.

A loss today would have meant 7 points might have seen us safe though. We're probably going to need all 9 now.

The one thing maybe in our favour is they draw a helluva lot, so some of the games we've got them pencilled in to win could easily be 0-0s for example. They waste a lot of chances despite Defoe.

Would be a crime if we went down below the likes of the mackems and palace with all the resources we have. Even ran half arsed we should still be way out the relegation fight. Just shows how many bad decisions have been made.

The most frustrating thing for me is if we stayed up we have potential and could even be back in Europe soon enough. The mackems would just be there usual waste of a place and be 16-18th next season as usual.

It's just so hard to predict who turns up at this time of the season. For Sunderland it's entirely possible that none of Stoke, Chelsea, Everton and Watford give a f*ck when they play. Even within a team, just takes one player to either want it or not to change the entire match, and that's much harder to predict than the outcome a normal football match where it's reasonable to assume everyone is at least semi-motivated.

We definitely need to win twice to have a chance. If we do that, well done to Rafa and the team since he was installed - lot of blame at their feet and the club management for not getting rid of McClaren before the Spain hiatus.

3 wins feels like too much to ask. Too much chance Spurs have the title in play on the final day.

If they'd lost we'd need to pick up 1 point more than them in our remaining games. Now we have to pick up 2 more, it's massive considering we only have 3 games left and they have 5.

They have 4 games left now. Your point still stands though.
