Anyway- I quite enjoyed the championship season. cant see automatic promotion this time round.

 

Seriously? Now that everyone accepts that this season is a trainwreck you had to go one further and start being negative about next season? :lol:

 

With the team we have that is realistic - how many will want to stay? I can't see any of Cabaye, HBA, Marveaux, Krul, or even Debuchy wanting to slug it out in the championship.

It would be a tragedy if we went down with the talent we've got at the club now. Not like last relegation at all.

 

I'm just hoping we can somehow scrape survival and then start again next season. Looks likely to be without Pardew now.

 

1 point from Norwich and Reading. Time to panic yet Ian?

If we can keep the team we have, with some obvious exceptions, I would be well up for relegation.

 

That's just it though. We wouldn't keep the likes of Ben Arfa, Cabaye, Marveaux, Debuchy, Santon etc. We'd be left with youngsters and Shola. :anguish:

 

And the new thread title is way too fucking presumptuous. Nothing to say we'd be coming straight back up this time either; if anything, quite the opposite.

All our creative players will leave. Be able to watch Cabaye and Ben Arfa on MOTD still at least. Pardew will still be manager and Ameobi captain and #1 striker.

 

That was my earlier post. My more realistic, apocalyptic view of relegation.

 

My post about keeping all our players and being happy with relegation was just a dream.

All captains material as well (Nolan, Barton, Butt, Smith). Our only captain now could be gone in weeks.

Has been sounding remarkably like the relegation season for the past month or so with all the talk of 'winnable matches'.  Looking remarkably like the relegation season when those wins fail to materialise as well.
