Dave
Man City are able to batter anyone but we're now a fifth of the way into the season, bottom of the table with the worst goal difference and already five points behind 17th place. We're in deep, deep shit.
Shush
Every glimmer of hope and positivity has been destroyed by a massive sag in performance, desire and result. Right now I can't imagine us stringing 5 games without losing, let alone 5 where we are mostly winning. We need another 33 points from 30 games left, unless there is a massive revolution behind the scenes to improving things on the pitch, coupled with some money being spent to sort centre midfield and defensive positions, it just feels like this will be even tougher than last season to beat the drop. Bada Bing
This is the year. Most of our players just don't have the mentality to succeed.
Ketsbaia
I'm feeling fairly positive after today, like. We were great in the first half, had a freakish 20 minutes, then the game was dead. We've mostly played well against Chelsea and City - remember that 6 of our 8 games have been against last season's top 8. A rock solid start but a great set of upcoming games. Unfortunately, we need 2 wins just to catch up with everyone. But this was just our annual bumming at City, no need to get too down about it. EDIT: Ok I know this reads weird. But we've had a tough start.
Guest
Fail to beat Norwich and fail to avoid defeat in the derby and I think we're gone.

Ketsbaia
I mean yeah, that Norwich game is as must-win as it gets. And Norwich are alright. But that's the night to panic.
maze
I think you are wrong. I'm fairly confident Newcastle cannot beat anyone in this league.

brummie
Tell you what, the championship is going to be interesting next season with us, you and Sunderland all in it. If we leave Sherwood where he is, we are absolutely doomed, fucking doomed. Truly horrific today.
Stottie
3 points of 8 means 35 off thirty to stay up. Not a huge ask in the history of football, but well beyond anything we've served up so far this season. 7.5, but maybe 8 in two games' time.
Ketsbaia
Our next 7: Norwich (h), Sunderland (a), Stoke (h), Bournemouth (a), Leicester (h), Palace (a), Liverpool (h) Need a minimum of 10 points.
Big Geordie
Mackems will have their usual new manager in charge for the derby, so they will get the win.

Guest chopey
I don't think our defence can keep us up, in fact I don't think our defence can keep a helium balloon up.
geordiedean
We are down IMO without a shadow of a doubt today just highlights it. I don't care who you are or which division you play in when a team lets in 6 goals in 18 minutes there's something deeply deeply Wong at the club and with the team. We sadly don't have 1 single winner in the team and they all have a losing mentality once we go behind they may as well just walk off the pitch. Couple that with a captain who is the biggest farce of a captain and the biggest chickenshit layer we have then there is no hope. We have now gone the equivalent of half a season with 1 win (1 win in our last 19) and still you get arseholes on here looking at positives. Face it there's not one positive thing about NUFC in the last 5 years the club is a negative bottom feeder. I will be absolutely amazed if we win any more than 5 games this season At least the championship will rid us of the absolute precession that is modern day football it's totally shite to watch and a complete mis match

Gallowgate Toon
If we can actually play for 90 minutes over the next couple, I think we'll be OK. If we don't, we're doomed.

BONTEMPI
We'll go down, and deserve too. Fat bastard will have to spend at least 100m + in January to turn this shitfest around. Oh and get a proper manager in.
BillClinton
I don't think we are doomed. Bournemouth and WBA are probably catchable. It's going to be another horrific season though.. The annoying thing is that Villa and Sunderland will at least make changes, we won't.
