Shearergol
7 now. Huge task to stay up. There's over a quarter of the season left ;-)
LoveItIfWeBeatU
We 'only' have to better the results of Sunderland and Norwich. It's not like they're doing well either. Fingers crossed we experience the 'new manager bounce' effect. Surely our team can only improve on how they've performed this season. Have Sunderland and Norwich got the spare capacity to improve as much as we have? If this was a parallel universe and instead of fighting relegation Newcastle, Sunderland and Norwich were all going for the title, would we be as pessimistic? 1 point behind, 1 (Sunderland) 2 (Norwich) game/s in hand, 10 games left and hopefully a new manage bounce. Varadi
The mackems and Norwich are both averaging less than a point per game over the season so far, so maintain that and they'll be finishing on no more than 33/34. Means we would need 3 wins and a draw to stay up, seems a lot more achievable than 5 wins from 10.
Willow
8, from 10 last week. Still up shit creek but we now at least have a paddle

Elliottman
3 team mini league starting Sunday for me. If we can beat the Mackems, we're in the driving seat. I'm at a 7.
Guest
Two wins in a row from tonight could all put Sunderland down.

Ketsbaia
Don't think tonight really nudges the meter, but tonight's performance was somehow both encouraging and worrying.
Disco
All the trademarks of a team walking toward relegation tonight. - beaten without opposition doing much - give away cheap FKs all over the shop - create nowt - looks fairly decent between the two goal areas without doing much - slow, laboured build up without necessarily losing ball - loads of pass backs to keeper - wrong end of questionable decisions

Just think the meter is more interesting when you can see it shift over time rather than people only voting once and months passing.
nufcjmc
voted an 8 was a 9.9 before we cant defend and we cannot score these areas of concern have not gone away despite a massive upturn in management, very very very early days but when you only have 9 games left you kinda need to hit the ground running. Just being harder to break down and not letting your heads drop is all well and good for not making your goal difference massively worse and picking up the odd point here or there but that wont get you out of the shit and staying in the league. We need to find a way to get our noses in front dont care who scores but we need someone shame cisse seems to fell off the face of the earth when is the twat back? Karjala
Sunday will tell us everything. Deserved a point today, but as expected we didn't get it. Must take the positive performance into the derby and must take all 3 points, and continue it going forward. Lose to the mackems, are we are as good as confirmed in the chumpionship. However Leicester were pretty happy to settle at one. Next two games are so fucking huge.
Varadi
Beat the mackems or RIP. Just don't lose I reckon, a win would be huge but we absolutely can't afford to give those fuckers another 3 points. After the derby we have a 2 week break, a lot more time for Rafa to get things sorted for the last 8 games.
Guest
Bare minimum needed is a win v Sunderland and draw at Norwich. Should be looking at 6 though.
Altamullan
What are everyone's predictions? AWAY: 8 7 points Everton L Chelsea L Stoke D L Leicester L Norwich W Southampton D Liverpool L Villa W HOME: 13 10 points West Brom W (Man City D) Bournemouth W Makems W Swansea W Palace L Spurs L 21 17 points Whilst not found of s*** or bust thinking/statements, can't help thinking tomorrow is a s*** or bust game. The way they've played the last two games, well I just can't see them winning. Regardless of points available, regardless of what they may possibly be capable of, their confidence looks shot to f***. Change needed to snap them out of it; Stupid Management Cunt--do one thing positive for once, in fact just do one... Much more confident of us winning the games, that seem most winnable. 14 points...will it be enough?
Spider Jerusalem
Still think it's too late a change. Incoherent up front, no quality at the back and inconsitency in between.

geordiedean
If and it's a very big IF we somehow manage to win the next 2 games we will stay up. Fail to win either of them and it's bye bye If we lose to the mackems we are effectively 2 games behind them so I'm afraid it's game over if we lose on Sunday
AY
We really should be looking to go unbeaten at home from now on. City might have nothing to play for, like Spurs. Ofc lose against Mackems and its over IMO.
