Fantail Breeze
Would really like to go to KSA purely for the experience, a bit like North Korea. Although I’d be petrified of doing or saying something wrong. Would probably leave my phone at home.

Sorry - I wasn’t comparing the two, but saying they’re two destinations I’d like to go to for the experience of going there.

Would you say more like AD? That’s way more conservative - especially with expectations of clothing. Dubai is loose af ? Good point about the prostitutes. Always find a way to thrive. Dokko
This lot are pissing away points by not securing targets quickly enough. Halfway through the window and we have very little to show for it.
Miggys First Goal
Need to stop lowballing offers. I thought we got beyond that when Ashley left.
matta
Wake the fuck up, and actually strengthen the squad. We are nowhere near good enough. Most needs replacing Edited January 15, 2022 by matta
TheInfiniteOdyssey
Not bringing in a director of football until after January “to conduct a thorough process” looks an insane decision Howe has been a terrible appointment A new scouting team should have been established as well. xLiaaamx
They've dawdled on too many things and it's cost them on the chance to keep us up.
ChrisMcQuillan
They had a chance to have everything lined up and good to go in January. They should have known how fine the margins were, and from seeing our team, how shattered it was from Bruce. I'm sure they'll be successful long-term, but they've shot themselves (and us) in the foot, and are about to see a significant devaluation in their team when we go down in May. r0cafella
Tbf they spent 37 million already. the managerial appointment was probably a mistake though.

Sean
Have we even replaced Charnley? Is Hammond still at the club? Have we strengthened the staff at any level of the club (aside from the coaching team) yet? There hasn't really been much communication, if any, since the takeover. Fantail Breeze
They’ve made a series of mistakes that have already cost us points, imo. Not sacking Bruce immediately, not appointing a replacement quickly, the lack of a football structure in time for January. I’m also not convinced other than Trippier we have prepared particularly well with signings. I’m surprised it’s taken three bids and however much negotiating to realise Botman isn’t for sale. Unless Lille’s public message is different to the private one. I would have hoped we’d have scoped initial discussions with clubs and agents ahead of January and moved much quicker. I think they’ll definitely get it right eventually, but like Howe, they need to improve or we’re heading down.

Tiresias
i agree with that but i think we're probably down anyway. Need to take championship year to rebuild squad and then hope the premier league dont change the rules to ban us when we come back up (they totally will)
Fantail Breeze
Just now, The Prophet said: How do we know this didn't happen? It clearly did with Trippier. But other than that our total lack of effectiveness elsewhere this window is telling. Are you saying it’s more likely that Lille and Sevilla both led us on throughout December before rejecting our bids? Seems bizarre.
Pilko
As if it took Staveley a fucking month to conclude her "robust search" and land us with the inspid wet blanket that she did Good thing PIF have bottomless pockets cos we've only just started to spunk cash about and there'll be many hundreds of millions more wasted before they remove the listless primary school teacher we've got in the dugout after we inevitably stall in next year's promotion race. I'm glad we've got our club back but by Christ we need someone with half a clue to come in and run it properly - both at board level and dugout level. triggs
What is the exact ownership structure? Do Staveley and her husband actually own a part of the club or are they employees? Can't see them lasting long in their roles
