Tiresias Posted June 27, 2022 Share Posted June 27, 2022 Something needs to be done about runaway fees for players and see if any of this does help, but of course it is watered down and engineered to make sure the likes of us can't spend. It's rather telling that in all reforms of clubs to make sure they don't go under from overspending, not one proposal ever has something about requiring clubs to have some responsibility to their fans, such a spot on the board for fan representation at the very least. Then that monopoly at the top will essentially start whinging about how it was only okay to act in this way when they were doing it and now that it's being done to them it's unfair. It's how you grow a club to make more money, establish a brand and become self sufficient in terms of player development. There should no no regulations of any of that because it's all good for football and the game. If a club overspends on those things or moves too quickly they will feel the pinch financially and it limits their competitiveness in the transfer market. It basically self regulates.
