This hatred from Villa is completely weird like. Came out of nowhere.

Not sure there's much 'hatred', just a little needle.

Truth is Villa, Everton and us, possibly one or two other clubs, look at the Sky 6 and know that (with better timing, wealthier and more proactive owners and more friends in high places) their clubs could or should have been part of that 'elite' group.

I think that even if we were perennial CL qualifiers we'd still be vulnerable to the likes of Real and Barca.

Difference is that now I'd back us to take whatever astronomical fee we get and buy three more quality players rather than see the owners use the money to buy H&M.

The draw of Real of Barca is too much for any player.

I’d be more confused if he didn’t want to go.

Man City don't tend to buy players from other top PL clubs, don't see them splashing £100m on Bruno. It's more Real Madrid or Barcelona that we might eventually have to fend off.

Always amazes me how business people who claim to love the free market absolutely abhors competition.

It’s the same thing as people loving free speech hating people using free speech in certain contexts. There’s a pretty simple rule in life that 95% of people in the world can follow:

The people telling you what to do who are rich as fuck, are complete cunts who are only interested in their own gains

Neville generally speaks very well of us as a club

He contradicts himself every other time he's on the telly though. Him and carragher both do it. Whatever way the wind blows they're there to push it that way on that day

Cant be arsed with them anymore. Pair of hypocrites

A couple of comments saying the flag display was cringe and small time, how bloody ironic coming from them

The flag display was class. Nothing small time about trying to create an atmosphere. Most grounds in the league have a terrible atmosphere. Atleast we(heza and co) are trying to do something about it.

The established big clubs don’t like competition do they, nothing more corrupt in European football than Barca And Madrid.

The simple fact is the likes of Man U and Liverpool dominated for so long because they had more money, now they haven’t got the most money it’s not fair and Man City and Chelsea’s success doesn’t count. It’s all about self preservation and I can’t wait until we really start upsetting the apple cart aswell.

I had a slight chortle reading that knowing how flat the crowd at Villa have been. To be fair, some mentioned how together we are as a club and how that is lacking with them.

Pretty much. Liverpool bought everyone’s best players in the 80’s, including academy prospects. Man Utd did the same during the Busby era and then the 90’s and early 2000’s with SAF. Now the money is more than they can afford so it’s unfair.

With Madrid and Barca, both clubs are effectively state controlled, albeit indirectly. The only reason why they have became the giants they are is that it would be political suicide for any Spanish government to allow either club to fold, and for Spanish banks it would be financial suicide to do likewise. So therefor the Spanish banks will not ever foreclose on either club, they will just keep offering the solutions, even if it means payments in reality are never paid back. The government themselves will never foreclose on them either, mean both clubs can effectively borrow a such as they want and likely avoid paying back taxes as much as they want.

It works well for them domestically, and for a large period of time it worked well for them in Europe. Even now it’s not like it’s a disaster for them in Europe, Real Madrid have won how many of the last 10 Champions Leagues? And Barca are not far behind in winning a few. Neither PSG or Man City are winning European honours ahead of them, however PSG are buying Messi and Neymar from them, and offering more money than them to keep Mbappe.

Man City are also offering more money than they are for Haaland. That there is their problem.

What the USA does or doesn’t do won’t effect us in anyway. He went in to his tenure saying he would clamp down on Saudi and 18 months later, he’s done fuck all. This is all bluff to try and pressure them to produce more oil so that oil prices can come down.

The USA and U.K. will keep selling them weapons so long as they are willing to keep oil flowing and and the rest of the middle in line.
