God forbid they turn us into a sustainable club, that produces home grown talent and regularly is in the frame to battle for UCL and titles when the stars align for that season.

How would we cope with that.

You can't get to that level without a massive initial investment.

I think the article was fair.  And I completely agree with the stadium announcement being kicked down the road.  We've waited all year for the announcement and it was basically  "phase 1 is complete, we're now starting phase 2".

I'm gutted that all that want to do is turn us into a sustainable club fighting for trophies and champions league football every season. I'm so happy Luke has revealed this disgrace of a revelation!

Next they'll be revealing plans for a brand new multi purpose stadium, the bastards!

Livid!

Half of Luke's article is stadium speculation and no PIF interest in rugby.

Non story.

I fully expect them to announce a takeover of the Falcons tomorrow now.

We’re important enough for the Governor of PIF to fly over to the city multiple times a season, for him to stroll around golf courses wearing NUFC merch and for him to have spent knocking on a billion quid on the club over the last three years.

About as best you can put it. What the press continue and fail to mention is Yasir is a sport mad guy. Outside of all of the other sectors PIF are invested in, this sport stuff is likely his favorite and the one he's personally driving along. I am convinced of that, 100%.

Boring article.

PIF are the sovereign wealth fund with fingers in loads of pies, we all know that. Be a bit weird if a football club was their number one priority, vs. Much bigger investments in stuff like Uber, or the crazy city they are building in the desert.

Boxing and golf are also not number one priority- doesn’t mean the Saudi s aren’t bothered about those

Aye, they have just bought 33 aircraft with an option of 39 for their new airline. Each one of those new aircraft units costs as much as NUFC did.

How many  people worldwide know of Saudiair or Riyadair or whatever compared to us or most premier league clubs.?

But has he done an interview with Tyneside life yet?

Nobody ever mentioned a Barcelona style sporting club, what’s the daft cunt going in about the Falcons and Eagles for, it’s almost like he wants to put a negative slant on everything.

In 5 years time if there’s no progress on infrastructure projects then criticism will be valid, but everything is pointing towards huge investment in the stadium project that we could only have dreamed of 3 years ago.

Wonder what’s going on with AS and MG?

She may well be gathering together a group for another investment elsewhere but I think personally, she's probably got enough out of selling her shares at NUFC to clear off any other debt she had and have a little nest egg to retire on.

I can understand the club couldn't have a director and part owner about to have a phase where companies were about to appoint liquidators but I also think they would be missing a trick by not having her at the club in some capacity, she adds that personal touch that's been missing.

She has got another investment fund together and is supposedly in discussions to invest in Spurs - hence the recent sightings at Spurs matches and rumours of Howe to Spurs.

She lost her case against some Greek shipping tycoon and owes a substantial amount of money. Also I wonder if Newcastle are getting the money back they loaned to her for court fees

Our Chairman is here in the UK today, do you think he should stay on to attend the Premier League Meeting on Thursday?

https://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/prime-minister-sends-pivotal-message-30138772?

It's meant to be a working meeting, and Big Yasir is not up to date on the details. Besides, he is the Chairman, and he has a whole executive team to manage NUFC. As it stands, PIF ownership is already causing all kinds of panic amongst the clubs. Attending the meeting, even symbolically, will only attract more criticisms that the Saudis are not the hand-owners that they claim
