I wouldn't necessarily be opposed to it like. I just want an ownership for NUFC that are totally all-in committed to the club across the entire piece. My impression is we don't really get that from PIF, with the current structure in place at the club. Their decision-making processes seem too slow for such a fast-paced industry and their level of engagement seems opaque at best.

Would people be opposed to PIF fucking off and selling to a Yank?

I would much prefer to have PIF here. Not because they are particularly competent, but they don't need the money.

Americans will only look at the financial returns.

Come back when they are competing at the top level.

Also, one of them is a Canadian.

Why? [emoji38] You said they don't make them better or competitive. They've went from 5th tier to the Championship in 5 seasons.

I'm leaning towards the same.

Would like to have Amanda back, but not sure about the yanks.

The saudis must speed up their decisionmaking though. Decisions about trainingground, stadium and when signing players etc are just too slow.

The biggest thing this summer, will be seeing if Hopkinson has been given the power to make decisions, without having to wait weeks to get the nod from the Saudis.

We are but a single tile on PIF's mosaic, I think someone posted on here that we make up less than 1% of the portfolio that Yasir is responsible for. With that in mind, I'm not expecting Yasir to be getting his hands dirty with the day to day running of things.

PIF have stumped up the money when needed but their decision making processes are glacial and they've hired some bad custodians to run the club, leading to the rudderless ship that we were last summer.

There is a difference between taking a non-league club up the leagues, and making them competitive at the highest levels. Any multi-millionaire or billionaire could have done that if they wished.

Chelsea are worse off since their takeover, Man Utd are, Arsenal haven’t won a title under their owners. People cite Liverpool, but look at the platform they had.

No American has taken a club to compete at the top of English football, the vast majority have been to stabilise them in the league, or they have started off with a great platform like Liverpool.

Basically they wouldn’t improve us, if people are having a go at not getting a new training ground and stadium now, you can kiss goodbye to it happening with Americans coming in.

Staveley has been in the news recently about buying a club, shifting her attention to either West Ham or possibly us. I’d be all for her coming back, once the Saudi’s have given us the new training ground and stadium though.

Talk about moving the goalposts.

I can't criticize PIF as in their years in charge we went from certain relegation to two champions league campaigns and a first title in modern era, we've also signed some top quality player and they've pretty much financed to the maximum that psr allows them too.

Problem is people they entrusted to run the club are not doing the job they are paid to do.

PIF can be criticized, but I'm more curious who you think isn't pulling their weight?

Am I?

I don’t think one club at our level has been improved by yank owners.

Throwing Wrexham into is moving the goalposts as a non-league club and a Premier League team we’re not comparable.
