I can understand the frustration when every post-game interview after another winning position binned we hear a variation on "yeah it's frustrating, we'll look at that and review that and learn from it". Mitigating factors or not (there were loads today - the ref being the main one) it's the sort of thing that you get sick of hearing when it just happens again and again.

Agreed, I thought we looked way more open and likely to concede post subs. Although that clearly doesn't fit certain narratives.

I thought Chelsea's best moments came at 2-1, Ramsdale had to make a couple of saves, we made a few last ditch blocks. There was definitely an upturn in momentum before the subs, after that I can't really remember them having a chance other than a couple of Garnacho solo efforts.

If you were confident we were winning that at HT, then you weren’t in the same pub as me.   There’s a mentality problem in the squad and Howe needs to sort it quickly.  First half we looked like what I think a Howe NUFC side looks like - second half was what we’re becoming.

We’ve become weak and soft.

The lack of proactive subs is Eddie Howe.  It is what it is.  However we’ve proven we can hold on to leads but this particular team cannot and that’s a major problem

Because we were trying to get back into the game?

Which is a position avoided by subbing at least woltemade who was dead on his feet and letting Chelsea push higher and higher.

We have not learnt much from the other games, but today I think we were just unlucky, and some poor showing infront of goal. Wolte, Elanga, Barnes, ref all should have done better.

I don't think we are going to get anything out of the league this year sadly. Too many dropped points. Some of them on Eddie some of them not. But we are still in the CL and in the semi in the Carabao. Not to mention the FA Cup. Season is not done!!

2 goals for Wolte not enough for you? ;) Barnes should have scored at least one goal, I agree and I think he would too.

I genuinely don’t think he could have done anything differently today. The game was there for us to win. A club with the quality of Chelsea will score goals. This wasn’t some collapse Ala spurs at home.

We aren't managing games well. We almost never finish them as strong as we start. It's difficult to criticise performances like today because in that first half we were superb. But in the second half they came back hard and we were never in control.

Should have had a penalty, Woltemade misses an easy chance, Barnes should have scored, Thiaw getting turned.

On the players today, not Eddie.

However, there's no excuses for us to not press like today in the coming matches.

If we sit in like we've seen us do too many times this season, I'll be so fecked off.

Looking forward to boxing day. We've got a decent preparation period and we hopefully have some more bodies coming back.

I think having 2 fit strikers going into the next crunch of games is going to be a big help for us (fingers crossed), it opens up our potential game-plan options up much more for rotation.

Barnes scores that in the run he had before he was taken out of the side for Gordon.

Makes no or very little difference, he usually buries that cross he hit just wide and took an extra touch instead of shooting when through on goal.

Absolutely right. No way today is Eddie's fault

 is it a counting issue? Chronic memory loss? Do some people expect us to have the league sewn up by Christmas? It's fucking nuts

Feel like we need to record this stuff and bring it up every season. It's anyone's for the taking yet again.

The other one that happens more widely is that a team (usually Arsenal) are going to run away with the league when they're like 5 points clear in October.

I thought we were much better in possession today. Some really crisp passing and moves. Not just creating off our high presses.

First half when we were knocking it about nicely. It was only really Murphy and to a lesser degree, Tonali (his loose passing) that were bad in possession across the whole XI. In general and on the day.
