You were saying he looks clueless and doesn't know what he's doing anymore.

He's shown many, many times already that he can fix the issues in the team.  So why not give him the opportunity. Bizarre.

People want rid but who comes in and does better?

Emery and every other top manager would love to quit their projects and come here to turn us around. I don’t know what some people are on.

the only tier we could possibly get would be a massive gamble that probably wouldn’t be worth taking in the middle of a season where we are still in for something all the competitions. More than a gamble. It would likely be a self inflicted wound. But people want change for the sake of change, rather than weighing if it’s beneficial in the medium and long term or not.

We live in an era where nobody other than Man City makes the CL every year and where basically everyone in the PL other than maybe 1-2 teams is competing every week.

The idea that as a fanbase we’d spend decades salivating over even the slightest possibility of silverware, get to the top of the mountain WAY ahead of schedule, and then immediately turn on the man who made it happen because we don’t get European football this season?

Now that is insane.

What does warranted criticism have to do with 'turning on' Howe? Can't imagine anyone watching us perform away from home this seasons first reaction being 'yeah but the league cup'. So weird.

For me we’ve gone as far as we can with him. Pointless changing the manager now, like others have said. Damage is done, but end of the season it’s probably time for a wholesale change in the coaching team and direction in the style we play.

Lose to Burnley and he should walk tbh. No excuse to lose to Scott Parker

im going 0-0

If Parker has any sense he’ll just park the bus and let us pass the ball around unable to create anything and look to catch us on the break

Villa fans wanted Emery gone at the start of the season.

Arsenal wanted Arteta gone at the start of the season.

Man City wanted Pep gone last season.. and even earlier on this season.

Seems that sticking with a manager who has a track record of sorting the team out actually pays off.

Iraola not won a game since late October.

Glasner not won in 4 games, just lost 4-1 to Leeds.

It's a very competitive league, form fluctuates.

As I say, they may not be the answer, but at the moment I’m more confident that Howe isn’t.

Palace’s sit 3 points and 3 places ahead of us with a game in hand, to be fair. Rather more reflective than a one off hand picked result against Leeds.

You can make an argument on why any manager in world football “might not be the choice”, I mean plenty said Howe wouldn’t be at the time. Ultimately though, you have to take risks if you want success.

1 in 23 away games. Even Pards did better than that.

Hold on.. is it actually 1 in 23 in the league? I made that Mick McCarthy post earlier as a joke... there is no way.

The interviewer asked him "I know when you talk about having chances, Gordon had 2 pretty big opportunities to do just that?"

"Yeah, I thought he was probably our brightest player in attack today, I thought Anthony played well, I thought he was direct, full of running, I was pleased with his individual performance, yes the goal wasn't there bit we need more, we need more goalmouth creation, action, certainly more clinical in front of goal"

"I thought Anthony played well" when asked about his favourite player by the Sky interviewer.

The blowing smoke and blindly standing by him isn’t working. I’m at the point where I wish he’d do a bit of a Pep and call certain players out. Gordon turns up for games when he feels like it at the minute.

We created 1 big chance all game with an xG of 1.18. Finishing wasn’t the issue, good quality chance creation was, and has been, all season.

I can’t think of many chances other than Miley’s and Gordon’s which I think could’ve been put down for poor finishing. All chances were half chances at best or created out of nothing (Hall).

I don't know how xG is calculated (that's not to say I don't value it as a statistic), but I assume the moment where Barnes cut it back for Gordon isn't reflected by the high figure it would've been, had it been played to Wissa instead. Miley and Gordon's are the other ones, like you say.

I don't really want to go overboard and have my comments mistaken for saying we played well or that the manager deserves a reprieve for another dismal loss. I just think we're a composed finish away from us all feeling significantly better. That's worlds apart from West Ham, Brentford and Sunderland, which were all truly abominable.

He's had the opportunity for months but it still looks fucking shit and a bad as ever (relatively speaking). He's clearly not fixing anything, he's not in the process of pulling this around as the issues that are clearly there today were there months ago. The football team - and by extention, Howe - look clueless and incompetent as soon as we leave NE1. Sorry, but that's on the manager, he rises or falls on the fate of the team and is been fucking woeful, he's already had months to try and fix it and we're no better off. It's harsh and I don't want him to get sacked but it's looking more and more likely with every performance like the one tonight

I wonder if Bournemouth would’ve stayed up if they stopped giving him credit in the bank for their sensational rise through the leagues, and acted on what was in front of them and sacked him?

He’s been sensational for us. I love him and always will. I’d rather him leave with his dignity in tact rather than this getting worse and worse.

Glasner or Iraola for me. Will they take us to the next level? I don’t know. But they’ll be doing better than this and I no longer believe Howe will take us to the next level.

Bournemouth aren't the club they are now without Howe. They'd have been relegated 2-3 years earlier if they'd not had him. They punched above their weight finishing 18th in the league ladder.

Fuck me. He's on crack. Sickening how loyal he is to his favs, it will cost him his job.

What I criticize about Eddie is his rigidity towards his system. He's unable to adjust his tactics during a match. He's too inflexible and not brave enough in that respect.

Why didn't he play Big Nick and Wissa together in attack in the second half? It was practically a one-sided affair in the second half.

Even Schär was often running around in the opposition's penalty area. I wouldn't leave a 2-meter-tall striker on the pitch when the team was that dominant.

Gerd Müller was often barely visible for 90 minutes, but he almost always still managed to score. I have the same opinion of Wolte.

I like Eddie a lot, but he needs to improve here.
