His team are chronically unable to control a game. Rarely ever look comfortable.

Signs have been there for a while tbh. Wolves managed a load of chances, Bournemouth took us apart and Fulham dominated for large periods of the game.

Not sure what the excuse is given our midfield options.

teams are just sitting on midfield 3 now as Burn isn’t a threat with the ball, whether it’s passing or stepping out.

Joe has looked sluggish and radgie for weeks, with possession surrendered Miley should have been on by 70, at least he can keep the ball and find a pass

Joe should of been rested a while back nevermind at 70mins

I've always thought that having so many coaches like Tindall and Jones continually  whispering in his ear makes him indecisive and only reactive often when it's too late. It was obvious watching the second half what was coming and yet by the time he changed anything the momentum and ultimately the game was lost. In his defense no way do Trippier and Willock improve us. Still a bit of pro activity before the hour mark would be nice to see. His in game management is his kryptonite.

Didn't really change the pattern of the match mind. He doesn't have many game changers at his disposal.

But he could have done something, like putting Miley on earlier for Joelinton to provide some calmness and composure in possession. Maybe it wouldn’t have helped, but doing nothing definitely doesn’t help.

it was so inevitable that they were going to score, just a matter time. But we just did nothing and waited. After that it’s a bit too late really. Difficult situation to come in when it’s panic mode and no shape and we look all over the place and lack composure.

Mentioned in the match thread, but we are very easy to come up with a game plan against. Not sure if we can really fix this without new additions.

It seems more of an issue of lack of direction and tactics rather than players, this sort of second half happend more often than it should this season.

This is the actual thing. We have been crying out for a refresh in terms of players for a while now. Like, probably a year. PSR doing it's job....

Not sure PSR is the reason that we decide to not press and invite them onto us by sitting too deep. To me it’s like giving the opposition the momentum on a silver plate. Especially when we are bad at getting hold of the ball again from deep.

Think the decision to not rotate is starting to catch up. I know it's not easy to change a winning team but the players have been looking like they are going through the motions in the last few games.

We have a fantastic midfield, we should really be dominating possession a lot more with Tonali and Bruno. Just really disappointed we had no control at all today.

Our midfield were overrun today.  Both Brazilians were poor.

I always wonder what changes people would have made? Miley is the only one getting any real kind of shout but does he transform the game for us?

Maybe irrational but I absolutely hate it when he makes changes after goals go in rather than when it’s clear we need them before we concede.

Especially when even Stevie Wonder can see what's about to happen.

Definitely not irrational, we rarely see subs unless:

- we're already drawing and it's 60-70 minutes in

- we're winning by 3 goals, or 2 goals if there's 5 minutes left

- the opposition have equalised (bring on Willock)

- the opposition have took the lead (bring on everyone)

At least it would have been worth a shot considering how Joelinton has played lately. Us at home too.

Simply needs to improve his plans for these games. Midtable sides with some quality can come here and have a solid plan to pounce. I'm not including Bournemouth in that list.

I really don't think he should've sent Joelinton out for the second half. It was clear he was having a stinker and was struggling physically.

The failure to improve the team for the last 3 windows is the main issue. Our bench options are genuinely terrible.

Maybe so but I don't think someone like Miley would've offered less than Joelinton today, for example. And he may have allowed us to get our foot on the ball.

It was clear at half time that Joelinton was having a shitter, he was Fulham's best playmaker in the first half.

Still better than playing players into the ground though (that didn't work last season)

I don't see Miley making a big difference in those circumstances. Our only decent subs (chasing) are Wilson and Barnes and Eddie clearly thinks the same. Agree with the timing of subs being frustrating though.

We were shoddy all over today. Perhaps, in hindsight, it would have been an idea to start Miley over Joelinton though. *shrugs*

My head was on fucking Mars when he did after Liverpool went 2-3 up. Just as well we equalised.
