Incognito
has anyone signed Ki on a free transfer yet? i'd take him in a heartbeat for nothing like He's one of my favourite posters but not sure he could do a job in the Newcastle midfield like. sempuki
Seemingly not looking to buy players from anywhere else either: https://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/newcastle-united-not-looking-buy-14796735

thenige
Jordan Ayew is fucking shit This. 100% this.
Kimbo
The forwards we're being linked to are depressing. I'm thinking it would be best to give Slimani another go.
sempuki
Spurious source and never heard of him but probably better than Ayew: https://www.teamtalk.com/news/exclusive-newcastle-leading-the-race-for-lyon-attacker

geordiedean
Clubs spending more and more money on players and we still behave as if we are stuck in the late 90s - mid 00s trying to grab 4 or 5 players for 30-40m Meanwhile in the real world Wolverhampton Wanderers, Palace,Leicester and even the mighty Bournemouth and Huddersfield are spending more on 1 player than our transfer record its utterly scandalous Only a matter of time we become a championship side again behaving this way and having this mentality

Our longer term transfers might hold off until next year when we bring in a manager who will go along with the club buying policy.
AyeDubbleYoo
Oh yeah, after Rafa leaves we’ll definitely start buying people.

TRon
We have a buying policy We always have, why do you think Carr was given a contract for 8 years? Buy low sell high. Surely nobody sane can think Ashleys interview/promotion piece with Sky was done for any other reason than to fuck off both the fans and Rafa. The 'sale' was him stringing everyone along for the laugh too. And now this is just business as usual as far as he's concerned. The list of clubs Ashley 'cannot and will not compete with' is growing year on year.

The list of clubs Ashley 'cannot and will not compete with' is growing year on year. There are 19 clubs in the Premier League we cannot compete with financially as it stands and if that is truly the case then we don't belong there. It's only a matter of time before we endure a 3rd relegation with this cretin he's having us all for idiots, because no matter what SJP will always be full even if we are fed on a diet of shit. Let's be honest that is exactly what we have been fed in his 10 years and even when we have a chance to push on he strangles the club Not in a million years should we not be able to compete with Burnley,Huddersfield,Bournemouth,Brighton,Watford Cardiff and Fulham both commercially and financially and for players. Yet here we are not even looking likely to spend anymore than 15m on a player when in the current climate gets you absolute dross
