Cclay
Femke Liefting seems to have grabbed that spot. She's seemed ok so far, saving a, noticably shaky, defense several times. The problem is she's only on loan, so may be a short-term solution. That said, she only joined Chelsea in January 2025, and we all know they sign people on a % chance they'll be successful / can be resold ... so who knows? PCW1983
Our friends Daughter Lucy Gilbert is on the bench for the first time today, really quick with good technique. Scored a belta for the development team last week. 👍🏻

Danh1
Watched the last ten minutes and felt that goal was coming, they’re so sloppy with the ball, 1-
Dr.Spaceman
I need to stop watching, every time I stick them on they concede
et tu brute
Need to stop buying players past their sell by date. Stokes has been shocking and Nobbs is just too slow. I know they are against higher level players, but both have been pretty poor so far this season.
Cclay
Stokes has looked slow / passed the ball to them several times / missed tackles but, I suppose, you can't grumble about 1-1. The crowd looks good, I didn't / don't expect us to win but we have given them a game, which is more than they have done in WSL2. OverThere
What in the heck has happened to Moan. Every time I have seen her she has one huge rick per game.
Cclay
Miedema on ... heh. At least Hasegawa scored. I prefer it was her over Shaw as she's a genuinely clever player, who makes the game seem so easy (and doesn't look like she's in a perpetual huff). OverThere
It seems the entire team is regressing. We were better last season
LionOfGosforth
They've played ok, the score is a bit harsh (third goal was ridiculous) but there's a chasm in terms of speed, technique and general build-up play.

Yeah, she got her finger tips to 3, but never really looked off her mark and at full stretch.

She was the same last year. That goal against Southampton in the match at St James was as bad as you get. I would imagine that she will be gone come the summer and it won't be back to Sunderland after the way they think she went about her transfer here. Cclay
Ha. Just looked on Bluemoon. They spent most of the time bemoaning their team (and laughing at both goalkeepers - not in the way people who don't watch women's football laugh at the goalkeepers). One thing that stuck out, unlike Manchester United, they made no comments on the quality of the home support. Considering their average home attendance for league games last year was 7,108 and we had over 3,000 there today, they come across as the worse half of Manchester. Living in Manchester (and having taught girls who are members of both teams), that's a turn up for the books.
