If you view it with yesterday result in isolation, then it seems harsh, but the signs have there that we need to move on.

She’s been a fucking great servant for us, but has reached her ceiling, any club in a division lower down would do well in appointing her.

John Herdman please.

it's a massive opportunity this season with 3 teams going up potentially. We couldn't afford to keep Langley on any longer than we have. Fortunately the teams ahead of us haven't been that consistent either so there's still a chance to turn it around if we can get a high quality replacement.

Herdman realistic?

We shouldn’t even be asking the question, we need one of the best coaches and someone who has proved themselves in the woman’s game. With no limit on spending we should be getting the very best, if that means Herdman then we should be doing all we can.

Feels ruthless and harsh personally but that's maybe because I'm still seeing this as fun and a bit of break from the non-fun ruthless mens side of things and that in the round most objectives have been met.  To the ownership and a lot of followers of the team its more serious than that and that's probably a good thing, business as it is

Had to happen, her signings and structure of the team were not up to scratch at this level. She really should have been replaced in the summer. She seemed very perky in her press conference after the game, so I'm hoping they have been working in the background previously and already have the person they want ready to come in.

Clearly found out at this level, although there's no shame in that. Can't imagine many managers, coaches, players etc could go from 4th to 2nd tier in 3 years (is that right?) and not reach their limit somewhere along the way.

Two years which is no mean feat for certain. Last year proved her levels were not at the standard required for this league and really she should have been let go in the summer.

Is this our new Director of Footballs decision ?

I would think it will be the decision of the women's director of football.

Dream: John Herdman
Reality: Michael Mulhern

This would be a horrific move

Now I can't stop thinking that you're right though, as he parted ways with boro at the weekend. I thought that was going to be down to inappropriate behaviour though!

It certainly reads like it was.

I also can’t see us going for another manager from the leagues that we have just escaped from.

I hope you're right. Would be a very lazy appointment.

Feel like we need to make a statement appointment, just not a load of proven managers out there
