  1. 1. How likely are we to get relegated this season? 0 = nee chance, 5 = can’t call it, 10 = nailed on marra

Forget the points to safety for a minute. We are 14 games in without a win. If we can't beat Norwich at home who's scored 7 goals before this game, who the fuck can we beat?

Literally the only hope is staying within touching distance till Jan and get some players and go on a run.

Think we are gone though.

We're down - we need Leeds to continue stinking and Norwich and Burnley to continue being shit.

With our December fixture list we're gonna need to win unexpected fixtures for us to stand a chance of not being totally adrift by January.

the most gut wrenching thing is the fact that despite Ashley fucking off, his stink still lingers here. This is a Championship defence, this squad still has many players from the last time we were in the Championship back in 2016. This was always going to happen, this is a competitive league, you need to develop players, you need to invest in players. Our training ground is League 1 level, our investment has been non-existent in recent times.

The chickens have well and truly come home to roost.

Remember the January when Fat Mike suddenly splashed some cash and bought the French brigade in? How bad was our situation then? I know this is worse.

We had 20 points and were 15th then.

7 points now, quite possibly the same total it'll be on Jan 1st.

We needed the summer for Howe/Rafa to come in and overhaul the squad. PL fucked us over.

0 points in December will be absolutely catastrophic. We’re not getting a thing from those fixtures.

Burnley at home is about as easier start as we could wish for.

Leicester are easily beatable, they’re woeful defensively.

We’re also playing to win games now, so we have ever chance going into ever game.

Beating Burnley is essential though.

The fucking defeatism on this thread is pathetic. The manager is learning about these players the hard way but the team spirit will be galvanised by tonight. I am sticking on a 7. The odds are against us at the moment but there is a long, long way to go yet.

What. I appreciate your optimism man but Jesus Leicester are definitely not easily beatable for us. We haven't beaten 14 of the other teams in the league this season and a lot of them aren't half the side Leicester are.

We haven’t won in 14 games and have a horrific run of games coming, it’s realism not defeatism.

I do think it's far too simplistic a view to say "if we can't beat Norwich at home". We had 10 men for 81 minutes because Clark is a nonce. Could've been so different.

People being very reactionary again. We’ll win one game and those 10s will turn into 4s.

A season is 38 games, comparing it to x, y or z is largely irrelevant because every team and season is different.

As long as we’re within touching distance (0-9 points) from safety going into that run of fixtures in January, I’d give us every chance.

It's not that there aren't 'winnable' games ahead it's that the worse you are the first half of the season the better you have to be the second half. We will have to to be beating teams like leicester comfortably for rest of season to stand a chance, it's really really hard to see happening.

Watford's next 3 games are Chelsea and Man City at home then Brentford away. We pick up 4 points from Burnley and Leicester and we could well be 2 points from safety. Level if we get 6.

There's a glimmer but it's little more than that. You can't start a season without winning any of the first 14 games and genuinely expect to stay up. We're horrific, the cracks that Bruce papered over are now well and truly terminal.

It'll take a miracle to get out of this now and it's almost impossible to argue it's not thoroughly deserved. Go down, rip it apart, storm the Championship and go again in 2 years time is about as much as we can hope for.

Yup. We stink of relegation and a complete reboot is in order.

We thrashed the very same Leicester last season.

Leicester managed to lose 1-0 to a team bottom of the Polish league this season. If they can beat them, so can we.

As well as putting in some piss poor performances and results elsewhere (losing to Brighton, West Ham… drawing to Leeds, Spartak Moscow).

They’re 10th. We’re hardly playing prime Barcelona.
