But for that amount and our FFP problems, our needs elsewhere are bigger
Whitley mag
Would rather we went for the lad O’Riley from Celtic than Gallagher, think he could be one of these that could make the transition from SPL.

One to consider if Bruno goes.
r0cafella
Gallagher would be such a poor use of resources. If Bruno leaves we are left with trips as the only creator/ string puller who’s knocking on. If Bruno leaves we will need to rethink our entire system.
duo
Not sure if posted.. https://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/newcastle-transfers-atalanta-ederson-manutd-32874475 Quote Newcastle are among the top suitors in the hunt and Magpies recruitment chief Steve Nickson has even travelled to Italy in recent months to watch the all-action Brazilian in the flesh. Ederson is likely viewed as a possible replacement for compatriot Bruno Guimaraes, who has a £100m release clause that expires on June 30. Interestingly, departing sporting director Dan Ashworth was key to Newcastle's initial interest and amid Eddie Howe's fears is that Ashworth could capitalise on transfer intel in his new role at Manchester United - once the ongoing ugly legal dispute is finally resolved. Sibierski
Based on a couple of Europa games I saw, I’d want us to get Ederson anyway. Be ruthless getting Willock moved on, and bring in him. Feels him/Bruno/Jo/Tonali would be a formidable 4 for rotational quality and what we need as a squad.

Dokko
(Apparently) Leeds need to sell £76m of players this summer, with them owing £190m to other clubs in total. For a championship club, that's a noose.
Guest
They had a mid-table budget last season in the Premier League and allowed a newly-promoted League 1 club to pip them. Only themselves to blame for massively underperforming. Edited May 26, 2024 by Optimistic Nut

Ash
Archie Gray would be a no-brainer and certainly ticks the opportunistic box for us.

Coffee_Johnny
Woke up feeling really excited about this transfer window. Whilst lots of disappointment last season, none of which is worth rehashing, I do think a potential positive outcome is the glaring necessity to stretch the PSR limits, move out the nonessential, unreliable, or past peak players, and give ourselves a chance of building on the improvements made in the last 2.5 seasons. I hope we do get some business done early, including outgoings and perhaps save an unexpected big signing until the 11th hour.

The whole PSR deadline and the euros will make most clubs do business later imo.
Guest
While we're hoovering up PL free defenders, Ben Johnson from West Ham maybe? Good age, can play both full-back positions, would allow us to make some cash on Trippier for FFP reason and provide cover for Tino and Hall.

He feels like one of those destined for the Championship or someone like Everton. Alot of years at West Ham and has never held his spot down for a prolonged period of time. Still only 24 but I think there's better out there even for free.
Guest
If it wasn't for FFP I wouldn't even be considering it. Just probably going to be the last chance to make anything on Trippier and would be some sort of cover aside from Krafth.
