Mahoneys Tache
Looking at the England team today it’s seems apparent that the strategy is long term thinking. Buy the best English talent available young, train them, mould them and a few older established class acts like Bruno and trippier that they can watch and learn from. Drill them with discipline, fitness, footballing nous and guide them as a unit for success. expect the transfer policy to remain the same and manage your expectations accordingly. This is going to be fucking great. It’s how Ferguson turned a jaded and plodding Manchester United into the most successful team in the last 30 years. He was hit and miss with big signings but his eye for young talent to fit into his system was second to none. I get the tickle that Eddie has the same savvy. I just hope he wins a league cup so that the owners remain patient. Edited November 17 by Mahoneys Tache

Less likely to compete with us for the position. I think we really had a chance at Madueke right after Chelsea paid so much for Pedro Neto. I also thought he was a bit of a risk so what do i know. SteV
No chance that Dibling stays at Southampton if/when they go down like. Imagine there’d be plenty looking at him, but you’d imagine he’d be within our scope.
Justdoesit
I’d love Dibling and Delap post-relegation. I’m not sure Delap would play second fiddle, mind. I could see him being main man for an Everton/West Ham type.

Would take both, hopefully the progress of Hall and Livra to full England internationals may sway these types of players to join us as there’s a pathway for them here rather than the bench or endless loans with other clubs. Astroblack
Would love Delap. Brilliant attitude, size, technique and speed, ticks all the boxes.
ponsaelius
I've only just clicked that Dibling is the lad who scored that hattrick of identical goals against our youth a few years ago. Went to Chelsea and got homesick so went back to Southampton.

If we've learnt something over they years it should be avoid Manchester United rejects. Expensive and rarely motivated to contribute and that's without including any limitations they have as players. Sibierski
Antony just feels a more expensive, younger Almiron, but with the cunt persona. Also rather not help Man Utd get rid of their deadwood. If spending money at Man Utd and they want sales, better throwing £20m at Shae Lacey who will be the next top thing. Players go down when they sign for them and can reignite/improve when they leave. Mctominay, Henderson, Elanga, Sancho etc. The polar opposite of what they used to be, basically. Antony is 24, get him firing again and in the Brazil squad and there’s value in that deal. I’m arguing against myself here though as every time I’ve seen him he’s been very poor, but at £20m even he seems cheap. The weight of expectation at that club has buried a lot of players, Sancho included, and look at him at Chelsea. Maybe a fresh start is what he needs to get his career back on track. That should probably be abroad and out of the spotlight tbf but stranger things have happened

His wages would be very high, I guess if he’s a dud we could sell him to Saudi.
