James
Maybe next contract then, but I just found out that he went to several of our games home and away as a kid so I think it is inevitable he will play for us in his prime.

His dad (he liked Shearer, rather than being a Newcastle fan) took him to a few games, but I think he’s actually an Arsenal fan himself, having been there from 7 years old and growing up in London. He’s certainly never mentioned any affection for Newcastle in the media, I don’t think? https://www.givemesport.com/1585380-bukayo-saka-10-things-you-may-not-know-about-arsenals-breakthrough-star/ “Both of his parents are Nigerian and migrated to London for work. Saka has been a lifelong Arsenal fan, too.”

I’d heard he (dad) supported Newcastle, but it sounds like he just liked us because of Shearer more than anything? “My dad has always been a big football fan, he supported Newcastle because he loved Alan Shearer.” who knows? (Other than I don’t think he’s got any particular affection for us?)

(Other than I don’t think he’s got any particular affection for us?) Dad used to take him to away games to watch us and he would cheer for us is what I've just read, so he was a fan at some point! Look at us clutching at straws, but you never know, he's so young and our financial muscle by the time he reaches his peak. Cracking player, way ahead of his age. KaKa
Saka will never leave Arsenal for any other Premier League club. I doubt he will ever leave Arsenal period. If he does it will be to a Barca or Real Madrid, still I don't even see that. Going to be a club legend at Arsenal as part of that young core that are already looking like they will be competing on all fronts going forward. The idea that we will poach him because of our financial muscle at some point is just fanciful stuff.

Linked to him under Bruce, but we splashed out entire budget on Willock instead and Cajuste moved elsewhere. Was linked to Leeds and Brentford too at the time. Anything could happen. Barring something disastrous happening at Arsenal I just can't see him ever leaving. He couldn't be in a more ideal situation at the club he loves and came through. Him throwing away the opportunity to go down as one of the greatest players in that clubs history because some other Prem club has thrown more money at him would be a horrendous move on his part, and it would sever all his ties at Arsenal. Astroblack
Hope he doesn’t leave but you just never know with City sniffing around. Don’t think Arteta is even a lock. Could see him as Pep’s replacement should he decide to leave.
