Pilko
It's very rare for Undr the Cosh to get a current player on, they tend to go for lads who've recently retired who are more likely to speak their minds and spill the beans because they're out of the game. Thought Tripps came across very well in that podcast, seemed to do a lot of growing up at Spurs & then fine tuned his defensive ability at Atleti. He talks about Howe visiting Atleti and learning off Simeone, and a little bit about Atleti's shithousing and attempts to frustrate teams in the bigger games. There's definitely a part played there in what we've seen in recent weeks Lacked the humour of other UTC pods but really insightful and just helped to confirm Tripps as a proper pro and a good guy. Tiresias
It was quite funny how they were trying to coax stories out of him about crazy behavior and it's clear Trippier went to Spurs, saw Walker ahead of him in position and immediately was super professional ever since. One of them was aaaw you gotta have something greasy after winning and Trippier just looked like why on earth would i ever eat anything like that

Paully
The catalyst for the revolution - absolutely unbelievable on and off the pitch! Imagine saying one year ago that we'd have six players going to the World Cup and one of them would be an England starter!? Mental! I love him and he's easily by far the best right back I've seen at NUFC!
TRC
I cant believe how good he actually he is. Always seen him a good Europa League level player, but he's actually world class. I think Simeone has really helped him.
frankpingel
On Talksport this morning Stuart Pearce said, after watching him live v Chelsea, that he felt compelled to pull over to text Southgate. Said it was the best he'd seen him play.

Coffee_Johnny
Kieran Trippier, England captain. Great recognition, lovely to see.
AyeDubbleYoo
Class to see him as captain. Surreal to see a Newcastle player in that role (recently). Does give the ball away in some weird situations with passes, but I guess it's because he's so confident to try stuff.

jackyboy
I can't believe that people are saying that Trippier was the worst player on the pitch last night. I saw at least 5 of them worse than him

buzza
If I am being honest he was awful until late on in the second half. Every pass was backwards and zero risk to push forward. It is the worst game I have seen him play
TheBrownBottle
Yeah, he was really poor. Don’t think he was much cop vs Iran either. Amazing what playing for a good manager does.
