Kieran Trippier: has a chance to play against Everton (Howe)

It’s a good offer for a 33 year old, but we all know that he adds so much to the team so it seems insignificant. I think having him for one more full season makes more sense to the club than selling now regardless of the financial difficulties

I think €15m is a fair enough bid on paper. Would be a big statement for us telling one of the elite clubs to fuck off though chasing one of our best players.

Yeah I think it’s a fair bid too, but one that I wouldn’t touch with a bargepole in your position. It’s not worth the sacrifice.

15 million euros man.

Fuck off.

Would you pay more than that for a player you're going to get only one and half sesons out of, maybe two and a half at a push?

You would hope if it’s going to get done, that it gets done soon. Would then give us chance to reinvest.

Yep, give us 18m by Thursday, seems to take 2 days to prepare a bid these days.

I'm really split on what to do here, the fact we are 10th makes me think we should take it.

It depends on what said player offers, for Trippier yes definitely.

I think he’ll go this window

I don't. I'd be surprised if Bayern are prepared to go any higher than what they've already bid.

I hope it does happen though, he's still a fantastic footballer, but we need the money to spend on other positions.

What the minimum bid before we'd consider letting him leave?

There's no realistic bid that's worth it. For me it would be like £40m to make it worth doing which is obviously not realistic and from my perspective the exact point.

If he wants out its a sell, but all reports coming out suggest hes not pushing for a move at all.

Got to protect that loyalty bonus!.

At the end of the day he is an employee of the club, if the club decides it wants a different employee then so be it, but if it doesn't work out they will get pelters from everyone.

As others have said I don't want to loose him but we have got to learn to trust the new owners after years of the Ashley Stockholm syndrome.

RB is about the only area we have plenty of cover in. Tino, Krafth and Ashby to come back as well. We'd be getting back what we paid for him and I think he wants to go.
