Really went up a level in my estimation of him which was already sky high. Without a doubt the best RB I've seen in my lifetime at Newcastle United and one of the best captains/leaders too. For all his alleged shagging about, which is his own business and his own (possible) downfall, on a professional level and human level with those kids he has been nothing but absolutely top drawer. He had time for every single one of them and wasn't allowing himself to be rushed. Class. Would have meant so much to those kids. That’s fantastic. I would love to see him in management alongside a certain Brazilian

MagMal
I can understand him wanting to play on for a few more years but I wish he would just retire and join the coaching team, his defensive knowledge and leadership is fantastic even if his legs have let him down this past year. Holloway
I do recall a while back him saying he wants to stay playing for as long as possible, wherever it takes him, which is fair do's. It rarely works out like this but I'd say it's not too sentimental to keep him in mind for a future coaching spot, he's been that influential in his time here and his leadership qualities are massively evident. Menace
Happy for him if he gets that Juve move, Mkhitaryan is still playing weekly and I'm practically faster than him. Could have a few years in the tank in Italy for sure. Ashley Young was still playing there at 38/39 wasn't he?

Danh1
Find that in modern times you don’t get many club legends, players don’t tend to stick around long or if they do they don’t really achieve much to have that title. Trippier is most certainly a club legend. The man that believed in us first, and the man that lifted silverware.
