Bruno offered it to Trippier who looked like he told him to give it to Burn. Hard to tell for definite from where I was.

That's what Trippier brings to the team.

 

However, I don't know if Trippier can be trusted to defend for 90 minutes anymore. I trust Tino to do that.

 

Tino has been a major dissapointment with the ball. I thought he was better than what he is currently showing.

23 of those was him to Schar and back in a 20 second spell

Leicester had essentially given up by the time Trippier came on. We were in see it out mode too, so didn't attempt anything too ambitious.

From where I was stood in GEC it looked like Bruno wasn’t sure whether to pass it to Burn or Trippier and then the three of them quickly decided on Burn

Where i was sat it looked like when Bruno came to give him it he waved him away and pointed to Burn.  I thought Burn looked slightly confused by it all.

That was a Trippier 2022/23 performance that, top quality all round.

Very good. Bit slow in some situations, but calm and that defending at back post for 2-0 was his experience reading the situation where you don’t need pace.

There was a moment Villa had a corner, you could see him talking to the team who were all stood still and next thing you know they were all alert, bouncing on their toes. Absolute leader on the pitch.
