Still think having Trips in the squad is probably worth at least 3 or 4 points over the year. Just from having a quality backup when needed, his experience, leadership, especially as we have two young developing fullbacks.

I think his experience will be vital on what looks like a renewed assault on top four and Europe second half of the season. He’ll go in the summer I’d imagine.

Yeah, there was an interview with him with Gary Neville just before the Euros where he basically said going forward he just wants to play as long as possible & is happy to drop down the leagues if necessary to do so. I doubt he'll want to be a backup another year.

Would be a good pick up for a newly promoted team though. Maybe if Burnley get back up.

There was a moment Villa had a corner, you could see him talking to the team who were all stood still and next thing you know they were all alert, bouncing on their toes. Absolute leader on the pitch.

Aye, noticed this, coach on the pitch.

He offers us something different to Tino, so I’d definitely keep him around if we’re able to/he’s happy to stay. Having two overlapping fullbacks either side who can whip balls in adds another dimension IMO.

I do think his absence is part of the reason we’ve become a bit more mentally fragile. We don’t have that talker who can keep their head when he’s not playing.

He holds a value despite his age and his now niggly injury record because he's still got something albeit probably now in smaller doses.

It's hard having him around say in a European campaign would be fantastic for his experience. However off field issues/injuries/age and we need to be better sellers is it worth trying to get 8/10m for him or just let him run his 18months down and get nothing.

Iam not sure what the clear answer is as you would be back to kraft being Tino's backup and neither of them can do what trips does with kraft picking up 1 year extensions we are eventually going to need more competition for tino and money from trips sale could aid that.

Keep until he retires for me. He’ll get plenty of minutes with Europe and going deep in the cups.

I'm more than happy for him to stay as a back right back until he retires, however I don't think Trippier will want that and he's one of our higher earners, therefore the club might want to move him on.

Very happy to keep him if he can keep his off field problems at bay. Tino is an exciting talent so it’s ideal to have an experienced head like Trippier as competition for that spot. Playing the role of someone who can come in and do a job might just be what’s best for Tripps at this stage of his career right now too.

I noticed him trying to talk to the ref after the stamp and then remembering he's not the captain and pushing Bruno towards the ref, total leader!

Once the red card was given you can see him on the match cam, getting all the players in. Always good to have another leader on the pitch, and I'm not going to complain when our RB options are Tino or Trippier.

Based on his IG, looked like he was spending some quality time with his kids and then followed that up put in a brilliant performance at RB. Honestly wasn’t surprised. Looked more himself in all aspects.

He exudes authority and leadership when he starts games like that, I hope we keep a hold of him for the campaign, he still has a significant contribution to offer

Could be huge for us in the Arsenal semi final and Liverpool Final.

He doesn't need to bomb up and down relentlessly now either which is better for his game at his age. He can pick and choose now we have Hall as a genuine threat on the other side.
